Announcement that Fitzroy Lions will be offered to get back their AFL license in 2025 but all their home games will be in Tasmania. Also dark green has to be introduced to the jumper of maroon, blue and gold.

New 50 000 capacity stadium to be built halfway between Hobart and Launceston and a new town to be established there - Fitzroy Town.

It’s expected all Fitzroy fans on the mainland and overseas move to the new ultra modern town where jobs are a plenty.

Brisbane jumper and moniker back to the Bears as well as their history from 1987 but also to retain the history of Lions 1997-2024 as their own.
Nice

If the AFL want a 20th team i hope they undo the wrong of the 90s and bring back Fitzroy as well as new team in Tassie.
Yes would require brisbane to change a few things (nickname etc) but as much as melbourne is over represented in teams it really is the only chance in immediate 5-10 years for a ready made team in terms of supporters

Would only surprise me a little bit. Your last month or so this year was top notch, think it just took that long to adjust to no Mitchell. Bring him back and you’re basically 2018 hawthorn but with extra development into guys like Worpel.

Worpel and Mitchell working together with another year of influence from Sam Mitchell. Wingard and Scully (hopefully) having full pre-seasons. Wingard was fantastic in a few games against lesser teams. Hopefully he continues this form against the top teams.

The challenge will be our key forwards. If we do get Patton, whether he makes the difference so that O'Brien and Lewis continue to grow. Not to mention Nash.

And at some point we need to look at the next Frawley. A very quiet and unassuming year, yet he was just brilliant. Kept so many big forwards quiet game after game. We had the 2nd or 3rd best defence in the the comp, despite not having big names - beyond Sicily - who seems to be everyone's favourite whipping boy despite him being top 2 or 3 in his role in the comp.

Anyway, for an outlandish non-Hawthorn prediction: Carlton will win 8 or 9 games.

That would be quite something.
I don't think any team has gone #1 and #2 in the Coleman since 1977 (Hudson and Matthews).
closest in recent memory is : franklin/roughhead in 08 and 13
Franklin / Roughead were 1/2 in coleman in 14 but Franklin was at sydney then ... so missed it by that much.

the Essendon Head Coach handover plan won't be blamed for every poor performance by Essendon on the field.
