AFL reserves is the way to go i think. SANFL can replace them with Mount Barker their oval is good enough for AFL games they should be in the SANFL

That and promotion and relegation through all the leagues in the state. Create a pyramid a la the English football leagues.
The traditional SANFL clubs have a huge advantage already so shouldn't be too much of a shake up. The new teams would simply replace us and Port.
If crows were relegated my interest drops to zero.Relegation is a terrible system, a relic of a bygone era. It’s a legacy that no one wants
Literally no one would choose it now

The player’s interest drops to zero.
Crows will be in the AFL reserves with Port soon anywayIf crows were relegated my interest drops to zero.

Would become the place to be!
The Crows do deserve it though. They've earned relegation.Relegation is a terrible system, a relic of a bygone era. It’s a legacy that no one wants

I'm on strike.I noticed you’re using “they” now and not “we”
That's why they need to bring in AFL reserves and they all play as curtain raisers to the AFL games. I'd love to watch the reserves play before the AFL gameSomeone made a really good point, not sure if it was this thread or another, about the fact the Crows reserves have only played one game, while the AFL team has already played four.
So not only is it horrible for the SANFL… it’s not even working the way it needs to for the AFL clubs.
Pro nounI noticed you’re using “they” now and not “we”
The SANFL season is predicated by having to finish the week before the AFL GF which subsequently defines the start date which unfortunately is just prior to Gather Round which again the AFL doesn’t want SANFL played that weekend, not much of this is really decided by the SANFLSomeone made a really good point, not sure if it was this thread or another, about the fact the Crows reserves have only played one game, while the AFL team has already played four.

Or pink bats to boost the economyIt amazes me anyone would ever suggest it like it’s a good thing.
It’s like suggesting the reintroduction of asbestos roofing as a way to get the kids playing outside

Maybe split Woodville and West Torrens. That could have legs.Yeah you're probably right.
2 new teams replacing Crows and Port would be the way to go though
I think I prefer adding a regional team, and possibly one from NT. The latter could be the catalyst for an NT AFL side eventually.Maybe split Woodville and West Torrens. That could have legs.
Personally I think Sturt should consider moving some games up thereAFL reserves is the way to go i think. SANFL can replace them with Mount Barker their oval is good enough for AFL games they should be in the SANFL
