Team Mgmt. Makeup of our team II - Strengths & deficiencies, player development

I agree - I don't think we have had the personnel to implement some type of game plan with any sophistication. Thinking of Mahoneys comments to Dodoro about drafting low IQ players. Others may argue it is development. Then we usually lose a couple of our top 5 players for an extended period and the result is a hodgepodge mess.
Where did Mahoney say weve drafted low IQ players?

Are all those 6-7 guys going to be on the list in 3-4 years time - no.
At this stage the only definates would be Ridley and McKay, and even then you can't always predict what's going to happen with form and injuries.

Ant555 said "Mahoney openly questioned some of Adrian's selections to the point that I heard that he once asked Dodoro if he only selected players with an IQ under 100."

Post in thread 'Soon to be ex-GM - List & Recruiting Adrian Dodoro #putoutyourjackets' Footy Dept. - Soon to be ex-GM - List & Recruiting Adrian Dodoro #putoutyourjackets
So nothing concrete in an article?

And also Mahoney hated Dodoro, vice vera, so wouldnt surprise me in a heated discussion

Less than 100 isn't that big of an insult. More than 50% of AFL players would fall into that category.
Must be why so many of them end up in the media post-footy, there'd have to be plenty of candidates with the requisite room temperate IQ.

Wondering if maybe the talls either didn't want to sit in an economy seat for a long haul flight and didn't want to spring for business class, or might've been told to stay home and have their spines carefully managed to prevent further back stress fractures?

Something I knew we lacked but didn't bother counting before today was the fact that of our 38 players, only 6 are lefties. Merrett, Shiel, Heppell, Kelly, J Davey and Goldstein.
