Don't know if i posted this in the right forum sorry if i did, but i believe it deserves its own thread.

A STUNNING individual performance from Steele Sidebottom has propelled the Murray Bushrangers to an emphatic 81-point win over the Dandenong Stingrays in Friday night's TAC Cup grand final.

Sidebottom, 17, was easily the best player on the ground with his 10-goal, 32-possession performance a major factor in the 21.16 (142) to 9.7 (61) win under the roof at Telstra Dome.

The 182cm AFL player-in-waiting spent the majority of his time up forward with stints on the ball and looked equally at ease when kicking on either his natural right or his left foot.

His goals came from a wide range of angles from both set shots and intelligent play under pressure. Sidebottom booted nine straight before missing four shots, but his 10th major finally came just three minutes before the final siren.

Such a dominant performance for a 17 yr old!
Anyone know much about him? Where number he could possibly go in the draft?

He's Max Power's oldest and dearest friend.

LOL'd so much at this post

He's an strong marking midfielder who would best be represented by Jimmy Bartel. He will be taken anywhere from pick 5-10.

Cheers for that. Sounds like a real prospect, and his performance in the GF would definitely make him standout much more.

Is he the one that looks like Dale Thomas? I flicked over a couple of times and both times I did there was a blonde bloke having a shot on goal. I thought it was Thomas and they were showing old TAC highlights during the breaks in the game. I didn't sit down a look carefully, just flicked, got the score and flicked again.

Nope. That was Sam Wright #13.

Lol, this thread is quite funny. Before today he was only supposed to go after about 10th for most punters. Now some are suggesting number 3 .

Watched the first qtr, and saw him kick 3. But 10 is a great effort, especially as a midfielder. And have you been living under a rock, because most people have heard of him.
