Agree with this. Historically the good ones have come through the Lightning or OP.

Pretty sad indictment on our trainers if they can’t have a horse ready to rumble first up over a sprint trip. Non issue for me.

You have more confident in our trainers than I do - look how many times they have to run stayers to get them fit.

i won’t be putting to much of my hard earnt on the line this weekend. Shaping up as a real rough one for punters.

If Loving Gaby drew wide, I'd have been all over her.

Still have her on top with the tactical advantage she'll have over Exceedance but if they come outside rail (?) you could be ****ed. Shapes as a boatie pace-wise which kinda puts me off Exceedance even though he might be better than her.

Doubly worse looks to me like slightly more speed from the low barriers which means if they split Exceedance will end up wrong side.

Apart from the features looking forward to see how Russian Camelot returns here. Promising horse.

EFA

Appropriate that the Epsom Derby prospect runs in the only non-black type race of the day over 1400m.

I’ve got no issue with them bringing him along slowly. He was essentially racing as a 2yo last Spring.

Plenty of options ahead. Granted, he’d want to impress against this lot.

you do wonder at scheduling

1000m g2 sprint Challenge stakes
1200 g1 Newmarket
1300 g1 Canterbury Stakes

Moronic and shows what a joke of a racing jurisdiction we really are.

Add to that I think there is a 3yo only sprint at Randwick too!

ive posted too much about Avilicat so its getting boring but i dont know how many times he can get beaten before he is proven to be ordinary.

If getting beaten is the criteria than this must be close to the most ordinary Australian Cup field of all time

I'll let Heatshy tell us which horse in the field has the best winning SR ;)

I get what you’re saying but when he gets beaten as fave in the wet I’ll completely put the pen through him. Over the past 12 months there have been two different horses depending on the track condition.

I’ve steered clear on the dry so he owes me nothing, but if it’s 6 or worse I’m in his corner this weekend.
