Nah... Best and fairest for the premiership team is the ultimate individual award. This is probably the best individual POTY award. No one has a better view of the players and their impact on the game than the coaches.
Still, the Brownlow holds the prestige, it'd be nice if he could win one.
That he did. At the ripe young age of just 20Nah...

Bontempelli did that too in 2016, if I'm not mistaken.
I'd say the CA award is the best measure of a players ability, but B&F in a premiership year is the award a player would most value.Nah...

Has Scott complained yet about it not being Dangerfield?
What the hell is wrong with the Bulldogs?
Their midfield is stacked with McCrae, Bont, Hunter, Dunkley and Libba. Do they just have glaring deficiencies everywhere else?

That's what the coaches think. What umpires think is more important... tounge in cheeck emoji inserted herThe Bont wins the Coach's Award.

They really need to stop this award. The players' MVP is really wide open this year
Any one of Bontempelli, Dangerfield, Fyfe, Cripps, Neale or Grundy can win it
Probably out of the first four: Bont, Danger, Fyfe or Cripps
Flip of the coin

Bollocks. You don't need to watch every game to have a solid opinion about who the best player isThey really need to stop this award.
Most players do not watch 8 games of football every week.
You say a player doesnt need to watch games to know who has been the best player across 22 rounds of football.Bollocks
You don't need to watch every game to have a solid opinion about who the best player is
Getting umpires to score 3-2-1 votes or both coaches to score 5-4-3-2-1 votes in every game isn't necessarily the best way to measure the best players' performances. It's hardly an exact scientific measure of all performances. But we accept it because it's the traditional way we've done things.
Who cares if Bont or Danger put Gold Coast to the sword in some shiit game and score BOG votes?
The good thing about the MVP is that it probably places more emphasis on the best players performances in the bigger games
The players would also take note of poor performances and subconsciuously mark a player who failed to produce when it counted.
Brownlows and AFLCAs don't measure the player's worst games or average games. They're just ignored. Half of Bont's games don't count.
Look at the honour roll of past MVP winners: not one dud winner - they were all players who either had the best season, or equal best.
The Brownlow and AFLCA awards throws up some quirky results from time to time due mainly to the quirky scoring system.

That's basically it. Our midfield and forward line has been burning hot for the last 6 weeks though (except for the St Kilda game). They have Cordy as one of their main defenders.
In all seriousness (Cordy is alright) their defense is lacking. Because they can play such a high pressure game in the middle, the ball entry into the oppositions 50 can be not very effective. However if the oppositions midfield can get any sort of run, that defense gets torn to shreds.
That’s how I see it anyway. Maybe Bulldogs supporters are better at answering.
