Because we have Cripps, Cerra, Hewett and Kennedy who are all basically the same player. Our midfield mix needs a change up with some speed or point of differences in there but by no means is Kennedy being traded because he's a bad player.

Wouldn’t mind him at Collingwood. Won’t have any issue playing full time midfield given the durability and age of some midfielders. Would help us manage add Goey’s midfield minutes more also.

I already explained that above. Cripps, Cerra, Hewett, Kennedy. All big bodied inside mids who are slow off the mark and struggle in transition.

With the game speeding up more and more over the last few seasons Blues want to address that by changing up our list make up. A team like Geelong or Collingwood would be a perfect fit for a player like Kennedy as they already have a lot of quicker mids but need some more grunt.

When played on ball Kennedy is a very very good player and has proven so over the last few years. If a fair deal can't be found would just about guarantee he's back in Blues colours next year.
