Yup NFI either - context Liefy?

http://www.abc.net.au/news/2015-06-17/flat-finish-for-shamal-wind-at-royal-ascot/6551576

Gone there too late, should have gone sooner is how i read Liefs comment which if is the case, i completely agree with.

Also a one dimensional get back handicap sprinter. see; the QB.

I think ive covered all bases there. Chat and the QB wont be winning diddly at Royal Ascot.

should have never gone.

was the epitome of a horse that traveled for the sake of traveling. had 0 form and 1 stupid peak ie quarterback (QB hardly even peaked nearly defaulted the race IMO) still traveled because they think they stack up with the genuine WFA horses in Australia let alone the world. handicappers heading abroad = non competitive. laughable it started about $7 from memory. need to win one of the big 3 sprints to head over.

by that token excluding the enigma that is Delectation the only european capable horses still racing are Chaut, Buff, Lankan and Terravista. Terravista probably looking for 1000m

the biggest problem with Chaut was his Newmarket. wtf happened there i will never know, must have been very flat from that lightning to produce that sort of effort. He is international quality IMO.

Around a bend yes - not convinced he is down the straight - really don't think he'd be suited by Ascot or Newmarket.

QB should be aiming for the Wokingham not the Kings Stand/Jubilee

I personally don't see a correlation for chaut down the straight vs bend QB yes he is a better straight horse but no difference for chaut.

i guess we're looking at last years darley where I see a freak delectation performance and you see a bad loss to a shit horse. then the gilgai/BL where i see his career best runs and you see a g2 win by a nice margin.

I see his last three runs down the straight finishing basically level with sprinters that are quality but not superstars.

In contrast - he has looked out of this world in his last 3 starts around a bend.

Sadly I can't think of a single big sprint in the UK that's around a bend.

how is his lightning any worse than his TJ visually/on paper? Lightning, if not more impressive. Manikato was against donkeys with the quality of the placegetters. Rebel Dane has never been wfa relevant form. He was superb that day but we're splitting hairs. His mcewen was eclipsed by his very next run down the straight in the Gilgai too. Huge gap in quality of races of those you mentioned.

I think people have just made excuses for his newmarket that I can't see. he just underperformed, which can happen.

Winning margin

His best runs would clearly be good enough to win - but they are only around 'winning' level for the Jubilee for mine - it's not like he would hack up. Add to that he has failed to win (albeit run well) in 3 of his last 4 straight track G1s - and just got there in the other one.

Against that - it's not a great crop of sprinters at the moment - and with the 3yos going to the Commonwealth these days he might not have too much opposition from Great Britain.

I think if he started $3 or something like that I'd spec a HK/Jap or US horse to beat him.

Not relevant. Doesn't matter if you win by a nose or 10 lengths.
