Nobody is calling for micromanaging. Being over everything in your role is simply doing your role. The head coach is king of a hell of a lot at the footy club and hence why they are paid so much.
Others have called it micro managing abd are the only ones talking about that.
When you have been senior coach and your program across all areas has been as bad as it has with Simmo for such a long time then he should be doing an about face of what he has been doing. Because it’s been crap for a long time.

That's three years in a row now where the minor premier has claimed the premiership. Good on the Pies for getting the win they deserved, but it kills a lot of the suspense for the neutral supporter. I doubt this seasons sits even in the tip 10 if you ranked it on changes to ladder position or upsets.

I find it really odd that people are bent out of shape re Simmo going OS.
Can only be a good thing for him to get away, learn some new stuff, re-charge and get back into it or is the fact that just about every team in the comp has some coaching staff doing it mean they're all wrong!

did a bit of amateur dev work with Skype back in the day UI/UX stuff. Didn't have to pay for any calls for about 4yrs...sweet.

Virtually every department? Oh good, are we going back to the argument about the senior coach being in charge of recruiting, list management, strength and conditioning etc? It’s been a couple of months since we’ve had that one.

Does the CEO of Rio Tinto approve leave requests of all employees? Does the Director-General of the Department of Education give feedback on the performance of individual teachers? Does the Prime Minister of Australia approve whether an extra bench is put in the local park? Technically, all three of them have that power - but they don't use it for obvious reasons.
Adam Simpson can reasonably be expected to know how training is going at all times and decide what to focus on and have ideas on things to cover - the strategic side of things - but he isn't (and shouldn't be) expected to time their laps around MRP or strap their boots or make sure the balls are properly inflated. That's what we have the other staff for.
