Can all the Red Cardinal fappers seriously look at the Kergolay and not tell me it is an awful run. Compare the run of the second horse with your bratwurst eater and tell me with a straight race it didn't suit.

Watched it again still not convinced he should be written off after that
See below he makes up ground in the straight then the horse who finishes 2nd chops up his run, unable to get going again
Put him on Flemington straight with more pace he’ll thrive

Then gets his run taken

Lol that is taking the piss and talking through one's pocket if ever I've seen it! Must be about 2 lengths clear when he moves into RC's line - his run wasn't taking he was just paddling big time.

Not sure why he suddenly improves at Flemington apart from blind hope - whats so different about it compared to Deauville which is hardly a small track!. And stop with this pace B/S - if it was so slow in the Kergolay - WHY WAS THE SECOND HORSE ABLE TO FINISH SECOND FROM LAST?!?!?

Agree to disagree
Proof will be whether he fails or thrives in the cup

Not really - even if he runs well in Melbourne it won't change the fact he was utter shite that day.

Huge boost for Tiberian

From racing.com

Frenchman Olivier Peslier could have his first ride in Australia aboard Tiberian in the $6 million Melbourne Cup next month.

A champion jockey with 75 Group 1 wins to his name across nine different countries, Peslier is yet to grace our shores Down Under.

He's been crowned champion jockey in France on four occasions and has won the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe four times, along with global staying features such as the Irish St Leger, Irish Derby, Ascot Gold Cup, English Derby, King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Stakes, German Derby, Hong Kong Vase, Hong Kong Cup, Arima Kinen Japan Cup and Tenno Sho Autumn - some of these multiple times.

Last week Hugh Bowman was tossing up between Marmeloand Tiberian but locked himself into the former after the Hughie Morrison-trained galloper turned in an old fashioned slashing Cup trial in the Caulfield Cup.

Australian Thoroughbred Bloodstock will officially announce the rider of Tiberian on Tuesday after the in-form galloper works at Werribee.

The syndicators boast an amazing record in bringing out the right horses for major Australian races with their successes highlighted by Dandino - second in the Caulfield Cup - and Heartbreak City, who was a nail-biting second in last year's Melbourne Cup behind Almandin.

The only ones of those that interest me at the prices is Tiberian. At this stage I'd be looking for a strong Geelong Cup/Lexus winner.

I'd like to make a formal retraction after seeing that dire Geelong Cup field. Even if something wins it by 10 I won't be on it at Flemington. Awful line up.

Why would a jockey seeing a track for the first time and not know how the locals race be a boost? i would consider it a negative not a positive, i dont care how many group 1s he has won. Have seen so many slaughter jobs by over seas jockeys in the cup i avoid them like the plague

Geez you are a plonker - because he knows the horse having ridden it to victory at 4 of its last 5 starts - better than that getting Tommy ironhands Berry trying to get it to settle over 3200m

Ryan Moore says hi

Probs not the greatest example - a couple of absolute slaughter jobs on Mount Athos and Dandino before everything fell into place on Protectionist.

The fapping over having an overseas jockey or some god who has ridden so many group 1s in fields of 5 in Europe where there are pacemakers so only 2 horses can win is laughable. Much harder to win in Australia as the fields are bigger and they ride more often in these conditions. Cory Parish outrode all the so called superstars on Saturday. Michelle PAyne totally outrode all the so called superstars in 2015 on a horse that cant get out of his own way. Craig williams replaced a jockey who was supposed to ride Amalies Star and totally srode it against instructions. Need i remind you of Zac Purtons exploits over the last few times he has come over to Australia ... 5 rides 5 times apparently he couldnt control his horse.
there are 40 capable jockeys with about a length between all of them, and all of them can ride good or bad in a specific race. Jockeys dont matter.

come at me
