Dockers meeting Mitch Clark in Melbourne tomorrow to complete signing, paperwork will be lodged Monday

Players will be only be eligible for restricted free agency after 8 years though, and the player's original club can choose to match it. Unrestricted free agency is after 10 years, by then a player would be 28-29.

Yeah this is what I thought too. I was talking about securing trades for younger players btw. I'd much rather a 22-23 year old Jager than a 28/29 year old version:p

Hate Tarrant, but i hold nothing against collingwood for getting the best deals for themselves and we got peanuts for him in the end.

Maybe not you, but if I did read through that thread, I'm assuming I can find posts that have similar "sooking" as you suggest there is on the Brisbane board. Supporters of teams can get emotional, doesn't make them "sooks".

Anyway think about the bright side, only 63.5 hours until this madness is finished :)

Fair enough.

But, this seems to happen to Freo at least every other year. Most of us have just got used to it. Once you have a player out of contract, who has decided he wants to leave for a specified other club, it is unlikely that the club losing him will get full value. Whatever his value might be. Sadly it's just a fact of life being a non-Vic club.

He didn't need to sign to confirm a trade but they may be waiting for the unveiling tomorrow or possibly there is a chance that Adelaide and Brisbane are working on a trade for Tippet. (That's just a rumour from Jon Ralph from the Herald Sun). Seeing as the papers are not going to be lodged until Monday.
There has been no word on the details, even channel nine who confirmed the trade tonight did not mention what was involved in the trade. All the other TV stations and journalists have said the trade has not been done.???
