Most overrated player from your own team

We used to have many in our glory 2001 year that helped to get us cramped for salary cap space till recently.

Before this year, Everitt, but I can't complain, the same overrating hepled us get a 2nd round pick in a strong draft.

This year... probably still out of the a 'glory era' Crawford. He always tries too much, and never plays within his ability apart from 1998 when he played as a tagger. He could've lived up to his hype had he just played within his ability.

Maybe even Guerra as well, for how many good passes he does, he always does a few clangers giving away goals.

Rowan bloody Jones!!!

God, I hate him...he's a ****ing joke of a player, the whole crowd is screaming 'HANDBALL' whenever he gets the ball. How get get a game week in week out is beyond me.

Read the title and then tell me, who rates him?

At the moment Barry Hall.

nah, that's not fair....he's not over-rated at all now, everyone can see, and has offered an opinion on, his dreadful form....whatever the reasons, he's having a very bad year, and no one's has "over-rated" him at all...jarryd mcveigh is over-rated by the coaching staff, he shouldn't be in the first 22

From Essendon would definately have to be Jobe Watson and David Hille
Watson too slow and Hille isnt a ruckmen
Adelaide - Scott Welsh - inconsistent

Brisbane - Cant think of anyone actually

Carlton - Lance Whitnall - shouldnt b captain

Collingwood - James Clement and Leon Davis - Clement plays loose. Shood be able to pick up 25 possesions as loose man. Davis is a flash in the pants

Fremantle - Jeff Farmer and Peter Bell - Farmer (same as Davis), Bell
reciever

Geelong - The whole team nah i dunno actually

Hawthorn - Trent Croad - most overrated player in the competition

Kangaroos - Shannon Grant and Brent Harvey - Grant and Harvey both receivers

Melbourne - Cameron Bruce and Aaron Davey - Bruce would be good if he could kick the ball and Davey cracks under pressure

Port Adelaide - No One

Richmond - Joel Bowden and Chris Newman - If anyone argues with this they have no idea. BIGGEST RECEIVERS IN THE COMPETITION always out the back for the cheap possesion

St.Kilda - Stephen Milne - only does something when the game is over

Sydney - Nick Davis and Heath Grundy - Davis only does something when he is on a shit defender and Grundy started well and where is he now

West Coast - Daniel Chick - done absolutely nothing this year at all

Western Bulldogs - Scott West - Easily

finally got something to agree on with a bombers fan...scott west...a solid, hard worker who's best form is in the victorian media around brownlow time, especially as they don't have much else to write about from a victorian point of view during grand final week
west is not in the same class as the best midfielders goign around, and one key point i always make on this is that he has never been good enough as the dogs' key midfielder to carry them into finals (apart from last year)....

Not a chance Crawford mate....

He finished 2nd in the Brownlow last year, 4th in 2005 and 2004 and 2nd in 2000.

He has 164 Brownlow votes over his career. Which means he gets over 1 vote every 2nd game for his entire 300+ game career!!!!!

All-Australian 5 occasions 1998, 2000, 2004, 2005 and 2006!!!

And 7 club B&F's

Pretty ****ing good player don't you think?

Jesus. Great stats.

Okay I'll cop that. Looks like he deserves his rating after all.

You don't really get it do you?

I know everyone's entitled to their opinion, but just about everything you've said is completely wrong....

Better luck next time.

Those stats show how highly he is rated, not how good a player he is.

LOOK I think opposing supporters writing about players from different teams is a load of crap. I and only I will know if my team's players are overrated or not because I watch them every week in detail.
I do not watch Essendon play week in week out so I can't comment on there players because I don't have a clue.
I can comment on the players that I have little exposure to but as for labeling them overrated is ridiculous as an opposing team supporter.

Kane Cornes

I think some supporters of other teams see his high possession count yet don't actually watch Port games and assume he is a gun, when realistically as an attacking midfielder he's serviceable at best.

hahaha yeah right u will find that harvey as prob had very little hard ball gets this year and same with Grant. go and find the stats and let me know

This and your original post have to be a combination of Essendon supporter stupidity and school holidays. Thats the only conclusion I can come to. What does how many hard ball gets have to do with anything? The fact is you're calling two players, one who is a dual B&F winner, AA, Whitten medallist and one of the favourites for the Brownlow and the other, a noted match winner, AA, Norm Smith medallist, overrated.

Please, seek help. :thumbsu:

Stkilda : Nick Riewoldt

Totally overated. Yes, He does get the ball, but around goals he might as well kick it backwards. His a shocker when it comes to goalkicking. He has lost St kilda as many games as Stewart Loewe did with his goal kicking.

People say his a champion and an great player but he isnt a match winner. I would love to see him be the match winner Stkilda needs but its a long way away. I'm a saints fan through and through, but lets face it saints fans he isnt the great white hope we thought he would be.

His only young but needs to really improve his kicking to be worth the money his on.

Cameron Bruce, gets plenty of the ball, but cannot kick to save himself, on QB, that was some of the worst by-foot disposal i have ever seen.
Also Brock McLean at the moment, the hype's gotten to his head, thankyou very much herald sun.

I have to agree with a couple of posters here and say Wirra. He's my favourite player but atm he's been really down on form and his disposal hasn't been nearly as good or as damaging as it usually is. Even last week, he had 29 touches, but I wouldn't say he had a good game.

Another from WC is Daniel Kerr. He's a very good player, but very inconsistent and prone to brain explosions. He seems to get overrated quite a bit by opposition supporters, some even claiming he was better then Judd at the start of the year.

Fram the Hawks, I think Croad.

He has been highly rated because of his athleticism and size but is a bit off this year.

Has been average down back and when forward his goal kicking is poor.

id have to say will minson. Our supporters always prop him up, and say that hes better than street. Every time hes in the middle they win the clearances or he gives away an undisciplined free kick.

He is a hack, and no future ruckman for our team
