Sorry to be a bother manangatang , but I just noticed I'm missing an All-SFA. I was named at CHB in S24, my first season at the Demons.

On a separate note, I was looking at head-to-head stats between Demons and Bombers (great stuff again Hate ) and despite now playing more games for Demons, I've represented Bombers 24 times and Demons only 15 times.

I'd rather have played against the Demons more often back in the early days than play against the Bombers over the past ten seasons, but I'd have expetced it to be a lot closer than it is.
I shall fix that - please accept my apologies for overlooking it.

Yes. I was named All-SFA CHB after one fine captain put me forward that season. The All-SFA selection process has improved significantly since*

*arguably.

it had an initial severe fall, but before too long the demons representatives in the committee became of a far greater quality

For the first game of the season, we faced our traditional rivals, The West Coast Wonders away at the Coliseum for the Foundation Cup.

Crowds were abuzz, as recorded by Wonders heretic, Grand Uncle Horace, who captured the atmosphere glowingly in his fashionable journal, the Toga Times. Toga Times: Foundation Cup thread saves the Comp.

What Horace failed to realise was that all the buzz and excitement surrounding the match was not due to the rivalry in itself, but the public's anticipation to see the greatest squad ever assembled together for the first time. The additions of league legend, Wosh and former bright young spark, PMBangers, and promising rookie, cartwright had made the Demons even stronger.

18.12 (120)Full Time15.5 (95)

The match produced a disappointing result for the Demons, the Wonders poor goal kicking meant the game was still up for grabs in the second quarter but the Demons were nowhere to be seen as the Wonders began to convert. a 50 point lead at 3-quarter was unassailable despite the much improved final quarter.

The story of this tale is a typical one for super-teams as they integrate their stars, Richard Cranium, in particular will need to find a formula he is comfortable with as his frenetic changes did nothing to help his team.

DemonJim was best afield with an impressive 3-goal haul off the half-forward flank, he also lead the team in DT points.
DERO usurped Hate from his ruck position and put together a solid performance in the ruck, whilst cartwright impressed off the half-back flank in her first game with a clean 16 possessions.

Posting Stats for Round 1 against Wonders.

I haven't really worked much on the formatting of this yet but I wanted to get it out fairly fast. I'll include all posts in the match thread up until 12 midnight QLD time each week.

We had 18 of the selected 20 active in a solid week of posting, which included 12 posters with 10+ and 8 with 25+...

Wosh led the way in an outstanding Demons debut ahead of manangatang and sante
PMBangers was also great first up and we're all very happy to see DERO and jmoo wan back at Mt Buller.

Congratulations to cartwright on debut, who was also testing the waters this week. Hope to see you again next week against the Roys.
