I'm trialing a new format for the stats this season. The left hand side has all Demons players in position, with posting and DT stats for each player. The right hand side gives other details for the match, including the Top 10 in posting, DT and goals for the week.
I'll also post stats in the previous format once a month so everyone can see how they've performed throughout the season.
A bit of a quiet week first up against the Furies, bur probably mostly due to a lack of activity from them as The Demons had almost 60% of the total posts.
Congratulations to sante on his 400th. It's a shame we couldn't come away with a win, but who really expects to win in their milestone matches these days anyway?
We were still in it at 3 qrt time, but let the Furies run away with a big win.
Gralin was the most prolific poster by far, while moginie started this season the way he finished season 36, in great posting form.
manangatang was the only Demon other than myself to reach 30, with Headless , Scythe94 and Wosh the only others to reach 20. cooney , sante and Hate were the others to finish in the top 10.
We were well down on our numbers from last season. Hopefully we'll see numbers pick up a bit over the coming weeks.
Hate was the star onfield with 90, while Scythe94 and sante both scored in the 80s. moginie , Yakker , cartwright and Wosh all scored in the 70s, with Gralin and a solid game from jmoo wan rounding our the top 10.
Bluelegs finished with 3 goals, two behind me and Quivorir came off the bench to bag two. moginie , Yakker , cooney and sante all finished with one goal each.
Random Stats: Truetiger, on debut for the Demons, finished 11th in both posting and DT and scored one behind, which technically put him in the top 10 scorers, but only goal scorers were listed so he missed out there too.
Next Week: We have another away game aainst the Swamprats in Round 2. It's generally a pretty enjoyable week against them so hopefully we'll see things pick up and hopefully we'll come away with a win.

Three milesones in Round 2 and the Demons managed to pull off a come from behind victory against the Rats, allowing Headless, cats2rise and jmoo wan to celebrate in style.
We had one less poster than in Round 1, finishing with 20 active Demons, but jumped from 360 to 684 team posts for the week. We're averaging almost 62% of the match thread posting so far.
Wosh and Headless led the way in posting after both having quiet weeks in Round 1, and Gralin followed up a big Round 1 by finishing with the third most posts this week.
sante was another who was a lot more active than last round and Truetiger also had a big week with 50 posts. moginie has become one of the most consistent posters in the team, finishing with over 40 posts again while another of our more consistent posters in Scythe94 finished in the 30s.
It was great to see DERO up in the 30s as well, and Hate rounded out the top 10.
moginie and Hate led the DT stats, but the highlight was new Demon Truetiger, who finished with 85 from his flank, including three goals. Fellow half forwards, cooney and Yakker both got a lot of the ball as well. The rest of the midfield did their job, with Gralin, Scythe94, Wosh, sante and Gralin making up the rest oft the top 10.
PMBangers finishedwith two goals, including the match winner, with the rest of the goals shared among the majority top 10 DT scorers.
Random Stats:
1. Headless scored 4 DT. His highest score of the season.
2. DemonJim scored donuts. His highest score of the season.
This week we have the Wonders in the Heritage Round, featuring yet another milestone: Van_Dyke 's 300th SFA and club game.
Let's celebrate another milestone with another win.

I’d also like to acknowledge and send a big thank you to our dear friend sausageroll, who has consistently produced the most beautiful statistics and write-ups this season, round by round. The review posts will form a large part of the B&F tonight. Thank you, snags - the stats are the best in the league, and we really appreciate the week-to-week efforts!
Gralin kindly produced the round introductions, which are also wonderful and glorious. Gralin has been a terrific presence in the leadership group this season - always willing to go above and beyond. Thank you, Gralin!

Unfortunately we couldn't repeat the milestone win we had for the three Demons last week on Van_Dyke 's 300th SFA and Club game this week, going down to the Wonders by over 10 goals. Our second 10 goal defeat in three rounds.
Demons posting was also down on last week, finishing with 591 posts, despite the match thread being considerably more active with over 200 mor posts than Round 2. The higher activity of the Wonders compared to the Demons saw us post only 45% of match posts, although we still have around 55% of all posts in our match threads so far this season.
We had 20 active posters again.
Gralin and moginie kept up their activity levels and I had my biggest posting week of the season. Wosh managed 67 posts despite a hectic week outside SFA. Hope thingsare going well on that front Wosh.
Bluelegs and manangatang posted around the 50 mark while Headless and sante were below their usual but still solid.
cooney and Truetiger rounded out the top 10.
Despite the loss, a few Demons still managed pretty big games. I had a day out in front of goals and DERO's 124 DT could have been huge if he hadn't missed 4 out of 5 goals. Hate had his thhird score at or around the 90s and Gralin's 84 was his highest score of the season so far.
cartwright and jmoo wan battled hardagainst the odds in defence and sante and Wosh provided some run throough the middle and Yakker did well with few opportunities at half forward.
Only four Demons found the big sticks this week with most forwards just making space for me to run into. Bluelegs, DERO and Yakker got in my way a few times though, costing me the all-time SFA record. Well done guys. NOT!
Random Stats:
1. Headless scored 5 DT. His new highest score of the season.
This week we have the Bombers. I'm predicting a 5 point win.

Ok, so I was 5 points off. I under-rated our performance. We won by 10 points!
Things weren't looking great at quarter time when we were down by almost 5 goals, but we worked our way back into it and stormed home in the last quarter.
We had three changes to the line-up this week:
manangatang FB > W
Gralin W > C
Wosh C > FB
Posting was down, finishing with our lowest posting total since Round 1. We had our lowest number of posrters for the season (19) and also a season low of under 40% of total posts for the thread.
Four Demons passed 50 posts, with Gralin leading the way again, ahead of Headless and moginie. manangatang and Scythe94 were in the 20s and Truetiger, Wosh, Bluelegs and DERO rounded out the top 10.
moginie led the DT scoring for the second time this season, finishing with a big 121, 30 ahead of Gralin in second place. cooney had a big game at CHF, receiving plenty of opportunities from Scythe94 and manangatang in the middle.
jmoo wan was solid at CHB once again and cartwright continued to provide plenty of run from her flank. Headless and DemonJim also had an impact off the bench.
We had nine goal kickers this week led by PMBangers who was on fire, kickng 5 from his pocket. I also kicked 5 but could've been a lot more if I'd been more accurate, finishing with 5 behinds as well. Bluelegs has kicked 2 or more every week and didn't let us down this week, joining Gralin on 2. moginie, manangatang, DemonJim, DERO and Scythe94 all chipped in with 1 each.
Random Stats:
1. Headless scored 58 DT. This is 83% of his total DT for the season.
2. DERO has kicked a goal from the back pocket in the last two rounds
3. Hate has been inaccurate in front of goal, kicking 0.5 for the season
This week we have another BIG milestone in our away game against the Warriors. Hate will celebrate his 350th SFA game. Hopefully he'll join Headless, jmoo wan and cats2rise in celebrating wins in their milestone matches this season.

Let’s take a quick break from the votes to award the cats2rise Medal, named after our dear friend and current Mount Buller veteran cats2rise, who has kicked the second most goals for the club in its history. The medal is presented to our leading goal-kicker each season.
There’s no big surprise to this one - the winner is full-forward extraordinaire sausageroll. sausageroll had an incredible season in Season 37, leading the Fred Medal count for much of the season before ultimately falling behind Brenton Davy in the final round.
sausageroll kicked a superb 72 goals from 16 games this season, at an average of 4.5 goals per game. This would be enough to win the Fred Medal in most seasons.
In Round 3, sausageroll kicked 12 goals - the equal most in a single game in the history of the Sweet FA. This broke the long-standing club record of Finbar19 (11 goals, Season 26 Grand Final).
Unbelievable work, snags - another feather in your cap (it must be a large cap with all of those feathers in it! ).

Another milestone, another win. Congratulations to Hate on coming away with a victory in your 350th SFA match. We wish you all the best in your downtime and genuinely hope to see you posting it up again in the near future.
We decided to go in unchanged from our winning line-up from Round 4 and it paid off, winning back-to-back mathes for the first time this season and moving to a 3-2 win/loss record.
We finished with 19 posters in the match thread again. Looking at the total posts, posting numbers were up on the previous round, helped a lot by a huge week from Wosh and another 100+ week from Gralin. I finished in the 50s and moginie had another great week in the 40s.
Things fell off sharply after the top four though with no others reaching 20 posts for the week. I don't remember the last time that happened.
manangatang , Bluelegs , cooney , Scythe94 and Truetiger all finished in double figures and cats2rise rounded out the top 10 with 8 posts.
The fact that our 10th highest poster had less than 10 posts is a worrying sign. Hopefully it's just a slow month and we'll start to see things pick up again. There is talk about a bit of a shake-up of positions so there's an opportunity there for those who want to take it.
The game was played in warm conditions so DT scores were a bit down overall but those conditions seem to suit us as we've won both games we've played in the sun so far.
moginie turned it on again, leading the scoring as he has in all three of our wins. Get the ball into his hands and we do well. Scythe94 and Gralin provided plenty of run from the middle while Truetiger and Yakker both had big games on their forward flanks. For the second week in a row DemonJim showed his value onfield, having a big impact coming off the bench. He's a player that could make a huge difference with an increase in activity.
@Hatewas up and about in the ruck and manangatang ran well from his wing, providing cooney with plenty of opportunities at CHF.
Scoring was shared around this week, with 11 Demons getting amongst the goals. I wasted several opportunities with 2.4 before being replaced at full forward by cats2rise who kicked two of his own. moginie , manangatang , Gralin and cooney also finished with two goals each and Bluelegs , PMBangers , Yakker , Truetiger and Hate all scored one.
Random Stats:
1. Bluelegs is averaging two goals per week and has kicked at least one goal in each game this season.
2. Van_Dyke scored under 50 for the first time this season. Gralin and Yakker are the only two who have scored at least 50 every week
3. Hate kicked his first goal of the season, scoring 0.5 prior to this week.
Yet another big milsetone at home against the Gumbies this week. DemonJim will be celebrating his 250th club game.
Four Demons players have celebrated wins in their milestone matches so far this season. Let's make it five this week.

We were sad to lose club stalwart Tarkyn_24 in the off-season to the hawkie walkie woozies. Having been at the club for a very long time and given Tarks’ excellence on and off field, this was a blow - but we look forward to Tarks’ triumphant return home soon.

But we also celebrated some special milestones and moments.
We were absolutely stoked to nab Truetiger from the Wonders. Truetriger has contributed strongly throughout the season, and was one of 16 players to play all 16 home and away games. TT fit in right from the word go. We love playing with you, Truetiger, and look forward to even bigger and better things in Season 38!
Truetiger, along with the huge Season 36 acquisitions of Gralin (rookie) and Scythe94 (saved from the Furies), has helped rejuvenate our list. Thank you and well done to all three of you.
This season, we saw some big milestone games. Amongst others, highlights included:
View attachment 1925036
This was the fourth game in cloudy conditions this season and the third 10 goal loss in those conditions. DemonJim played his 250th Demons match but didn't turn up at all throughout the week. Ironically, his Demons team mates didn't turn up on Sunday.
We made several changes this week, mostly due to Hate taking indefinite leave and the very welcome return of Proper Gander. manangatang took Hate's spot in the ruck, DERO's posting and match form was rewarded with a move to the wing and Hate moved to the back pocket. Proper Gander came straight into the starting 18, replacing PMBangers who hasn't posted over the past fortnight.
It was a mixed week with posting. Demons contributed two thirds of all match thread posting but we had the lowest number of active posters for the club in several seasons, finishing with just 17 active Demons. For the second week in a row, our 10th highest poster finished with less than double figures. The good news is that Proper Gander as the one finishing ith the 10th highest numbers for the week on her return.
Wosh and Gralin led the posting and moginie and I were next, both in the 50s. Scythe94, DERO and manangatang were all in the 20s and Yakker and cooney in double figures.
Given the result, it's no surprise that the team DT total was the second lowest of the season.
Having said that, Gralin managed to score 113 and moginie also finished with his second ton of the season and his fourth top two finish. manangatang had a great game in his first run in the ruck, finishing with with his highest score of the season. This was highlighted by the play of the day where mang took the ball out of a centre bounce and goaled from the centre.
jmoo wan got a lot of the ball once again at CHB as did cats2rise on his back flank. cooney provided an avenue into the forward line through limited supply from Scythe94 and sante while Proper Gander was given a chance to run in her return after starting in the forward pocket.
Our number of goal kickers was more than halved from 11 last week to just 5 this week. Bluelegs came into the game averaging two goals per week and he somehow managed to improve that average despite limited opportunities, finishing with 3. I somehow managed to also kick 5 in the same conditions.
After that, only moginie, manangatang and Hate managed to trouble the scorers with one each.
Random Stats:
1. DERO was moved from the back pocket to the midfield in selection but found himself moved straight back to the pocket, ending with his second lowest score of the season.
2. Hate struggled to score goals from the ruck all season but managed to kick one from the back pocket this week.
3. Headless' score of 58 in round 4 makes up 65% of his total scores for the season, scoring just 31 in the other 5 games.
No milestones for our Round 7 matach away against the Dragons. We're sitting on a 3-3 win/loss record this season but our percentage is very low courtesy of three 10 goal losses. That's going to be an issue if we're borderline finals contenders. We need to keep winning so our percentge doesn't become an issue.
