Marcus Adams - VFL Player
Jack Redpath - VFL Player

Adams at least has the excuse of not being experienced, but Redpath's been on the list for years now, and has never looked like an AFL quality player.

Damn so we've lost ten players before the season starts, will be hard from here only playing with 30 on the list. Thanks to those who got delisted today by the Dogs BF clan, your service has been appreciated.

Worrying signs but only a pre season game, if you take away or inside run and ball use we are in fact pretty poor.

Still hold my opinion we will go back a little this year

We're in mid-March right? Hold your melts for a game that actually means something.

We win, we lose, just remember it's a freakin PRACTICE match.
Just because the game itself means nothing doesn't mean there's no cause for concern. If we have senior players on our list failing the most basic of skills like uncontested marks or providing an easy layoff handball/kick, then chances are we're going to have serious problems in games that do matter.

I think the point is we were doing some of the things that lost us games last year. These are beginning to look less like aberrations and more like habits.

Every team in this round of NAB games has had the exact same problem.

Cracking game guys, and epic finish. Thought we were done when Stringer was running into goals. Actually, I thought we were done at half time :drunk:

Looking forward to playing the dogs in the season proper :thumbsu:

Other than two over-exuberant handballs earlier in the game I can't think of another time Adams turned the ball over? If you are going to criticize him, it would be because he isn't backing himself. Getting that holding the ball against him shouldn't have eventuated. But he will iron out his deficiencies with more time at this level. Other than that he took some bloody nice marks at the end there.

Where is Stringer's criticism for the miss? Or Bob's for the errant foot of his in the 3rd quarter? Or the midfields for letting the Pies walk through them in the 3rd quarter? There isn't any, because people have given them time to show what they can do. We should be doing the exact same for the kids in the 18-25 spots in our squad.
