I rate Brand highly from what I've seen from him at Box Hill. Sometimes you can tell when a defender is going to be any good by the way they read the ball, time their run, decision making etc. Brand looks like he'll make it eventually.

Me too. He and Heatherly just look like they'll be very good key defenders for us although both will start a little late for differing reasons.
