Thankyew, thankyew.
I tell you what, it was and is a weird feeling.
Back in the 89-95 era when I was a teenager, I used to just about lose my freaking mind during finals and especially GFs, and afterwards I'd be inconsolable for a week.
I was expecting today to be the same, but to be honest I awoke with a feeling I can only describe as zen-like. I had the identical feeling before the North Melbourne final and I thought at the time it was a feeling of inevitable doom (as we usually feel!)
I think I yelled about four times in the entire match. I was perfectly calm for the rest of it. My fiancee called it over during the 2nd quarter, but I didn't let out 32 years of pent-up frustration until we got 70 in front. I knew that even Geelong couldn't stuff that up.
Even now, it's not excitement I'm feeling, it's relief. But the happiest day of my life until I get married in 3 weeks.

funny...but cant u move on from here now pls?
i would rather say...
NAB Cup 2008 Round 1 - the type of game we usually win
and then the reasons why.
I'm hoping the bitterness that resided beneath the surface of all Geelong fans will be gone and the days of slagging off Geelong players etc will be gone and the resignation that we will somehow lose even when we are good will be gone too.
I don't want Geelong to have a loser culture anymore, accepting that we lose certain types of games but maybe it will taken a 2nd flag soon before this might happen?
Winning at all costs and always and confidence at all times in our teams ability is what we should be using as our mantra.
This sort of thread should be left as a pre-2007 premiership mindset that has now been swept away for a new era. If we dont do this then Geelong will slip back into its old ways...
