Wow, I'll be watching it because it's, well it's something resembling football and it's been a long and frankly frustrating off season. (sick of the actual footy being hijacked by scandal) That being said I was hoping we'd get to see some of the guys who'd just been drafted. I'm sure they'll get their chance, though.

That being said this is our first look at our new recruits from other clubs and what role they'll be playing, and we've got a look at our revamped rookie list.

Oh and Caff's back. One of my favourite players from our premiership year, hope he guns it in 2013.

I'm interested in how the ruck will work for the two games as we have three ruckman in the squad.

You can't complain too much about seeing "new players", we still have 7 of them on display from my count;

Lynch, Russell, Young, Hudson, Martin, Dwyer and Frost.

And if you're being honest those 7 new players are going to be more important to us in 2013 than any of our young draft picks.

and then it seems like he copped a niggle. bad luck for him even if it's not serious, he needs to use these games to stake a claim because time is running out.

looking forward to this. i know within ten minutes the shitty commentary and the bad umpiring and dumb rules will start to annoy me, but i'm still excited.

Didak already injured (from pre-season training) doesn't exactly fill me with confidence that he's going to have a smoother run this season and makes it a relief we have some mid/forward depth this year.

Also, not to be negative Nellie here but WhyTF is Josh Thomas not getting a run? Are you telling me that after all that promising build up over the pre-season that he is again unable to come up? Starting to feel like Rusling all over again.

I would also love some Ben Broomhead and Kennedy but I actually don't mind the psychology of keeping them back. The last thing you want is young players thinking they have a natural right to a game.

Keen to see what Martin and Dwyer can do. Bring it on.

I don't think you can assume players are injured just because they are not playing this week. They will be on structured programs and not every player will play every week. Some have to be managed, particularly recently injured players like Didak, Thomas and Ball for instance.

Yeah that's the number one thing I want to see. If we don't improve here I think we could be in for a long season.
