It doesn't matter its just a glorified practice match
Yep and a big **** you to the AFL trying to mooch of us one to many times.

Tank this game, keep our guns clear and have the NAB Cup final on the GC when the Lions win. No need to have our guns bursting this early and gives opposition less viewing of our actual game style.

Good to see a few back, like Goldsack, but damn we are missing a lot;

1. Fasolo (must be struggling still)
4. Didak (Hammy)
7. Krakouer (at Jenny Craigo_O)
10. Pendles (deserved rest)
12. Luke Ball (hopefully he plays next week)
13. Dale Thomas (massive doubt for round 1)
19. Jamie Elliott (deserved rest)
20. Ben Reid (knee)
23. Lachlan Keeffe (ACL recovery)
29. Tim Broomhead (Glandular fever:( )
31. Jackson Ramsay
32. Travis Cloke (corked thigh)
33. Jackson Paine (shoulder)
34. Alan Toovey (playing in the bushes)
35. Brodie Grundy (back injury)
36. Dane Swan (getting more ink done)
44. Corey Gault (groin injury)

So I make that 10 of our probable best 22 who are missing, that's probably less than last week though.;)

Something like:

FB: Shaw Brown Johnson
HB: Maxwell Frost Seedsman
C: O'Brien Blair Young
HF: Kennedy Goldsack Mooney
FF: Macaffer Lynch Sinclair

RU: Jolly Beams Sidebottom

INT/SUBS: Clarke, JThomas, Russell, Martin, Dwyer, Witts, Yagmoor, Oxley, Williams

Was hoping for the Lions to face a stronger squad to see where we are at. Non the less playing in Melbourne will be good experience for the younger players.

Good luck on Saturday:thumbsu:
Thx U2:thumbsu:

From the look of that squad Bux clearly has his mind on testing the depth options with winning a bonus.

To be expected at this time of year.

Was thinking about going, not sure if I can be bothered to see half the VFL team have a hit out against the Lions though. Will be good to finally see Ben Kennedy have a run though.

and we still will smash the Lions but yeah that is a Big Injury List

Well I'm extremely disappointed in that squad.

Was gonna go on Saturday but seeing that squad I'm not gonna bother. I know it's only the NAB Cup but at least play one of either Pendles and Swanny don't rest both of them. Will still watch the game on TV just not gonna waste my money to go watch a VFL Team run around.

No ramasy grundy or broomhead has been disappointing this nab cup. Really hoping kennedy and mooney play this weekend to add some genuine excitement

Recognised Mids:

Blair, Beams, Sidey, Martin, J.Thomas and Dwyer

Caff, Williams and BK should also spend sometime in there.

Let's see how they go without the 2 big bananas and Bally not in.

Looking to blood Bris, we have improved depth this year and need to find out what they can do - though I can understand your attitude.

nothing is wrong with that, just thought they could have at least placed a few Big names in there

Good opportunity to see who is ready and who isn't. With so many big names out there's nowhere to hide, I'm interested to see if Seedsman can take another step up if he's given more responsibility this game, which I think he almost certainly will be. It'll be an interesting test for Beams leadership as well, he'll be in charge of the midfield most likely.

Both dont need to play. Its a practice match. Who even goes to practice matches to see their side win anyway. Its about the big picture. The smart supporters understand that.

We do have some big names out there:

- Beams
- Goldsack
- Brown
- Jolly
- Shaw

We still probably still beat your Lot

Go to a practice to watch a young fellow like Seedsman do well don't get upset that we aren't going hell for leather for something that is forgotten within a week. Start barracking for the side in round 1 when it is taken seriously.
Fair enough if we were Carlton with a new coach that has realistically no chance at winning the AFL premiership in 2013, BUT we are in a great position with our list to win the flag. BIG PICTURE!

Thanks for that backhander at the end. I don't give a crap if we win or not but would be nice to see at least one gun player playing yet we rest all of them in the same week. I'm sorry that I don't want to go watch our reserves running around
