Nathan Krakouer possibly heading home

Congratulations. Thats the most idiotic post ive ever read on Bigfooty.

You should be proud!

There's plenty more of his work on the eagles board if you're keen.

Sinepari speaks the truth Macca.

Venture over take a look.

Shit I'll PM you some for shits and giggles.

So they then carry him on their list for a year or send him home for a bit ....if they rate him and we offer rubbish - why do they have to trade him this year?
They don't "have to" trade him.

But most clubs who have a player who is adamant he wants to leave will accede to that.

Good luck to Port if they are willing to carry a disgruntled player on their list for 12 months.

Again ...he is probably ncilled in for 3-5 games next year.

Ratehr than trade him for nothing ...perhaps wait a year - by then he may ahve had a change of heart or Port can target an Ebert/Hurn type.

Port can basically try this year and then if not satisified try again next.

I agree who wants a disgruntled player ...however it is certainly an option.

He is worth whatever clubs offer, so you will get that.

What Port would want is something quite different, but that has nothing to do with what Krakouer is worth.
Not quite right. You could just as easily say he is worth whatever Port demand.

There are two participants in a trade, a buyer and a seller. For a deal to occur both sides must agree on the price.

Krakouer is signed for a further two years. If he's desperate to return home I can't see Port standing in his way but they're in a position to demand a fair return. Krakouer will not look too kindly on the club that doesn't offer enough to get the deal done.

He may want to come home, but I thought the W.A clubs wanting you would be a key part in this. So far nor Freo or Eagles have shown any interest in getting Krakour and I cant see them doing so this late and so close to trade week. If they wanted him Krakour would of been told about it before he re-signed with Port.

I strongly hope he stays at Alberton.

I doubt you have any way of knowing what the two WA clubs think. There's no sign that Krakouer is unhappy at Alberton. There's simply talk that he's homesick which is a different matter. Family issues seem to have arisen since he re-signed a few months ago and you don't know whether or what the WA clubs said to him prior to that.

I'd be surprised if the Eagles picked him up, too much off field risk IMO. Just look at the family history. Last year the ex Richmond Krakouer found guilty of serious assault charge, I understand he got time. Ex North Melbourne Krakouer, found guilty of dealing drugs, again spent time in jail.

Several posters have mention it would be better for his footy if he stayed away from his families off field influences. If this guy was playing AFL in Perth surrounded by all his extended family he'd be a king, does he have the character to avoid the pitfalls of fame and fortune? Massive risk IMO.

The eagles are still in the sights of the AFL and can't afford another off field incident.
Do all the descendants of Ned Kelly walk around in steel full face helmets and carry shotguns around?

stereotyping someone because some relatives of his are a bit dodgy is a bit harsh dont you think? not to mention garbage

stereotyping is fun.

I was about to comment perhaps N Krak wanted a move back to perth as a stepping stone to the Casuarina First XVIII

the good things is for both teams that will be involved.....there is plenty of options for both parties involved to get a fair deal happening......

We will be caught in a situation where we are playing down Josh Carr's value and all the WA clubs will be playing down Nathan Krakouer's value.

We will get both for next to nothing, possible st8 swap.

Frankly the kids not up to AFL football, and Port know it too. Williams and co pumped up the kids tyres in the media, but wont play him. Thomsons the same. They've had the shitiest of years but didnt rate either good enough to get games. Dont be fooled, if they were any good they'd be playing. Might as well flush a second/third rounder down the shitter.

What bullshit, the kid will be a gun! He had alot off soft tissue injurys this year but every game he played last year he showed even with his skinny body that his raw skill like his 40 meter handballs and fijian side step will make him a starter next year.

He is not going any where, Thomson is a different kettle off fish, so maybe do some home work before hedding down the Elizabeth city center for lunch!

He ain't going nowhere folks. :thumbsu:

Good news for Port.

Krakouer keen on Port

NKrakouer246AA.jpg

EXCITING Port Adelaide youngster Nathan Krakouer has reaffirmed his commitment to the Power, ending speculation he would seek a trade back home to Western Australia in next week’s exchange period.

Krakouer, who was selected with pick 39 in the 2006 NAB AFL Draft, impressed in his debut season at Alberton, playing 11 games and showing consistently brilliant form in the SANFL.

But the lightning-quick onballer experienced a difficult year both on and off the field in 2008 with a family bereavement and nagging soft tissue injuries prompting a mid-season return to WA.

On Thursday, Port Adelaide football operations manager Peter Rohde said Krakouer had indicated he wanted to stay at Alberton, where he is contracted until 2010.

“Nathan never said he wanted to leave the club. He just wanted some time away to see his family and get his injury right,” Rohde said.

“I spoke to Nathan two days ago and his manager yesterday and Nathan is looking forward to playing the next two years with the Port Adelaide Football Club.”

I'd take Carr for Krak in a heartbeat. Carr has and could help win a premmy and adds real mongrel. Krak is skinny, soft, and erratic, and could be very high maintenance. Get rid of the sook and start adding some steel to the midfield again.
