Don't sell Freddy short. He's up to 11! The Cox v kreuger question will be something to consider in 4-6 weeks time.Which games do these "stats" represent? One blokes played 100+ games and the other has played 6 (three of which he ended up injured)???
The way Kreuger plays you'd be better off comparing his stats to someone like Crisp or McCreery....he's a non marking KPF?
The one Trade Draft put up in the analysis thread of the last quarter synced with MMM.I could imagine it was visible at the ground, but which replay did you see that on?
Don’t see Cox coming back in this scenario.Hill McStay Krueger
Elliott Mihocek Schultz
Looks solid.
Don’t see Cox coming back in this scenario.
Krueger offers more around the ground and especially as a forward. Can do enough in the ruck with Cameron and Frampton.
Yeah absolutely ambitious on my part. Just being hopeful! It's brave to assume Kreuger gets through the year uninjured. We've made this assumption every year and always been wrong
It’s pessimistic and lazy to assume he won’t. His real injury risks are his shoulders and it’s been a full year since he’s had a problem there. Since then he’s largely been injury free apart from a minor hamstring and calf. It's brave to assume Kreuger gets through the year uninjured. Not sure Billy gets back. And in saying Richards is the type of player the pies will be counting on. He already looks like a 100 game player while only played 4. Also LShultz by September will be wound up like a North Korean ICBM pointing straight at the swans or the Blues. Pies are going set this year alight.Don’t see Cox coming back in this scenario.

He hasn’t suffered knee or soft tissue injuries that tend to be more at risk of recurrence. ….so yes it’s very reasonable to assume that his past injury concerns are largely behind him.So it’s not lazy to assume an injury riddled player will remain injury free, but it is lazy to assume an injury riddled player will get injured again? okay, love your logic.
I also never said he would get injured again, but u only notice the poster not the post

You seem to be hung up on one word . I also used the word pessimistic.Ah okay.. guess the 6 years of being injured was all just bad luck.. thanks for sorting that out. Very reasonable indeed and just pure laziness to disagree.
I think his 2 shoulder recos was because of the way he lands when jumping for a mark. They seem to have finally fixed that.Ah okay.. guess the 6 years of being injured was all just bad luck.. thanks for sorting that out. Very reasonable indeed and just pure laziness to disagree.
Definitely not bad luck but sometimes as people get older they learn how to understand their bodies better and prevent injuriesAh okay.. guess the 6 years of being injured was all just bad luck.. thanks for sorting that out. Very reasonable indeed and just pure laziness to disagree.

A decent Collingwood supporter would just say “ I hope you’re right”.
Do you have this weeks lottery winning numbers. That's some nostradamus shit right thereKreuger has never gotten thru a year uninjured, and i said it's brave to assume he would this year. nothing pessimistic or lazy about that, you are absolutely clueless.
Ah, I guess you must be a decent Collingwood supporter coz u think Kreuger wont get injured again, brilliant logic as always
I would like to see him get a run at it, jury still out for me on him but has the right attitude and does some nice things.I have a hunch he'll be fine from now on. I remember Darcy Moore couldn't get on the park for years and now he's one of our most durable. Same with Curnow.
Curnow was just about cooked. He's paying them back big time.I have a hunch he'll be fine from now on. I remember Darcy Moore couldn't get on the park for years and now he's one of our most durable. Same with Curnow.
After Kreug's return game, both Darcy Moore & Freddy spoke about the extra work they had done together & the chats they've had about Freddy limiting his kamikaze style of playing to limit his injuries.Definitely not bad luck but sometimes as people get older they learn how to understand their bodies better and prevent injuries
That's a big concern then. It's bordering on delistAt Geelong and earlier on with us Kreugs was often injured in kamakazi like contested situations. He'd fall over attempting to mark or tackle and end up hurting himself rather than the other bloke. He'd do it just as often at training OR in the VFL.
He doesn't mark the ball above his head (90% of the time) so his marking attempts often involve him crashing his body into others in the attempt to catch the ball on his chest. He often "dives" to try and mark or sometimes he dives to attempt tackles and this leaves him helplessly exposed to contact. As others have noted for a man his size, he is extremely quick, but his speed is in straight lines. He has limited spatial awareness and balance so he is easily moved off balance and sent crashing into others. Watch him closely, he spends a lot of time sprawling on the ground.
I've watched Kreugs a lot at Geelong and he has only ever played the way he still does. His skills, his awareness have never improved and its why I hope we get a few more games out of him before he injures himself again.
Playing him as a KPF alongside Checkers or McStay could be really dangerous for one or both of them because Checkers will always attempt to get the ball and Kreugs might not be able to change direction quickly enough to miss making contact. Once defenders realise that he doesn't mark above his head (90% of the time) they'll also take advantage of this and turn the ball over on him.
