We've had a number of cracks at Balme over the years and so far they've all have been failures, so I'm only left to conclude that we are a poison chalice
if he doesn't work at richmond now he never will, pretty much his last chance

his career is almost done being almost 70

Yep time is not on his side but Ive already concluded he just doesn't want to come back to the tigers. My guess is he'll stay at the pies or see the Lions as a last opportunity before retiring

SEN reporting he is connected to the group challenging the board
the day he walks in with power is the day our club will finally turn it around

They want him but haven't even chatted with him.

******* amateur at the Richmond Football Club once again.
i wouldnt believe that not for a second

Certainly hoping that was said only because he's still a Collingwood employee

On the other thread apparently tony Jones has a text from balme saying he's not interested

(I didn't see the original, so don't know wording or context)

I reckon the ticket has Balme. They wouldn't have mentioned him otherwise. They aren't complete morons. Just the way that Dr Martin guy smirked when asked about him and said its because he's a Tiger person.
And you can't tell me it's never come up during one of Neil and Bruce's frequent chats? Come on.
I think Balme went shy because he is might be coming over regardless of who is on the board and doesn't want to be associated with the coup

When you cant even lure a past great back to the club you know you're a shipwreck

Hey guys all the best in trying to get BALMY. i know exactely what you mean about trying to get club greats back to your own club....Grahame Wright and Monkhorst have helped HAWTHORN WIN 4 FLAGS we cant get them over at all.

From what i understand is that if BALMY he will give collingwood his decision as to whether he stays as Director of Coaching by this Friday thats what he said on SEN last week so wait and see but a new candidate has emerged.......You all know him his name.........MICK MALTHOUSE.

Thank you for telling us about BALMY. Will be good to get BALMY back to the club. How is BUCKLEY going? Has BUCKLEY left the country yet?

I pray to god, jebus, mo , the budmeister, and xeno that they have spoken to blame, and he was cool with them dropping his name.

With the current admin AND the challenge both wanting him at the club, I hope we haven't screwed the pooch by naming him before he was ready to be

No but i reckon Buckley will have about 8-9 games left next season. If we are not anywhere near the 8 he'll be gone......
If you guys think your club has got worries nothing compared to my club.

Its not fair that clubs like Collingwood Richmond Carlton and Essendon the 4 big clubs of Victoria are all a shadow of what they once were.Very Sad
No wonder people have dropped off going to the footy......That once great rivarly has now diminished in favour of building intetrstate clubs like GWS AND SYDNEY ETC into powerhouse clubs of the comp
