I wasn't answering for him.How do we know he doesn’t like the leader? There’s been no comment
I think the CFMEU have used some tactics that are definitively bad.
But I'm pro union.

You responded to my question to him…..I wasn't answering for him.

Yes to this. Unions absolutely have a place but like most things balance is needed.Unions have their place (look at the labour market in America...'at will employment' LMAO). There's a power disparity they go a long way to addressing. Also not sure 'you need legal permission to strike' is a good thing given that.
There's a difference between that and using the power of unions to threaten or abuse individuals acting in their company's interest, threaten people into acting with the union, or companies not involved in the dispute, which Setka does.
The fines against the CFMEU (that McBurnie would have been responsible for, for example:
So what’s your thoughts on the thugs blackmail?
This started with Setkas blackmailing the AFL, this type of behaviour is why a lot of people have issues with the union. What do my thoughts about Setka have to do with what my point was?
I don't actually like the current delegate of my own union - I think he is an unimpressive man who exaggerates and talks shit. I didn't vote for him and next election I will hope he loses - Doesn't mean I'm throwing the baby out with the bathwater and dismissing unions all together

I asked your opinion and you didn’t answer, curious what your opinion is given this is in relation to football and we are on a football forum
The thing is he wont achieve anything. Legally Septka has no leg to stand on and if work gets disrupted through him calling snap strikes, he will not succeed. If those strikes are illegal the workers can lose their jobs. This could actually see him removed. Could be his jump the shark moment.
To be honest, I thought this was pretty much what happened normally. He's not threatening strikes though, he's threatening work to rule
If you think football has a lot of brown paper bag deals ask John why he had a Visy contract to get rid of all of hisYeah I agree
Unions definitely have their place, but there needs to be a healthy balance.
When clowns like Setka and the CFMEU constantly act like standover men it does unionism zero favours. That sort of crap becomes a lightning rod to those who push the anti union message and damages the reputation of the whole industry.
SANFL get green light for $27 million Football Park move - InDaily
The City of Charles Sturt has approved the SANFL moving back to its old home at Football Park, which allows the Crows to move to Thebarton.www.indaily.com.au
There wouldn't be much point in knocking it down to spite them, would there?Interesting mock up in the article.
The image has the Crows current facility with SANFL branding all over it.
Surely we're not giving the SANFL our current facility along with 9 million dollars are we

Haven't come up with wage growth stats yet? Don't be a WaynusYou responded to my question to him…..
Chief executive salaries rose by an average of 14% in the past financial year, according to the latest annual report from the Governance Institute of Australia. While general staff working at listed companies received average fixed pay increases of about 5% over the past 12 months.
Yeah it's definitely those unions doing the damage......
