Good to see an AFL Club not only planning for the future ....but also factoring in future growth requirements

Some Clubs will quickly outgrow their facilities .....seems like every few years, AFL Clubs spend good money after bad, expanding yet again .....hope we have enough land for the future

The Hawks bought the 28-hectare property, which was previously used as a landfill site, in Melbourne's south-east in 2016, with the plan to turn the pile of dirt into one of the premier training and administration bases in Australian sport.

The training and administration facility is set to include two training ovals (one that will replicate the dimensions of the MCG), a large indoor training facility that will accommodate proper drills, similar to indoor NFL setups, a state-of-the-art aquatic and gym centre, plus the ability to host AFLW games with broadcast facilities.

I wonder what we'll eventually call the joint. I do have to laugh every time I hear reference to the "MG High Performance Centre" when these things are literally copping donuts in ANCAP ratings & ranked 7th for Sales in Australia.
Maybe the "High Performance" ties more into the "High End" stuff, like their F1 Team & their "Performances" in September.
