Haven’t read, care to elaborate?
Its interesting that the start of the meeting is another deputation from the 5031 mob of whingers. They did the same at the most recent general meeting.

A deputation is just an opportunity for a resident to make a statement before a meeting. It holds no weight except has the ear of the council just before a meeting.

The UHY report is the "prudential report" which council requires sop it has all the information to have an informed decision. It's purpose as stated in the agenda is to "provide transparency to all relevant stakeholders regarding the issues and risks relating to the Project".

So on one side, you have an official, arms-length Prudential Report, addressing all key issues and risks, which in its table of findings has found that the vast majority of all risks and issues associated with the decision to grant us a lease as being within the acceptable council tolerance for risk.

On other hand, in a council area of 63,009 residents, 147 residents objected. As has been shown, a lot of those objections have been copy & paste jobs.

Hopefully the council can read through the noise and just get on with things.

Nah, I always thought two full-sized ovals felt like a want more than a need. You've not heard me say otherwise.

I'm more interested that the building is state of the art.
Wow you dont want the club to succeed as long as the bar is suitable

Pressurised altitude training rooms?
Not sure if the AFL is into this yet. Big advantage.
I saw one at the AIS in Canberra years ago. Whilst not as effective as going to altitude, it's vastly more convenient.

If we have an exercise sports scientist on here, they could explain the physiological benefits better than me.

Here’s the agenda for the council meeting this coming Tuesday

Pages 54-63 are a summary of the public feedback received, page 293 you’ll find the full public consultation report, and if you’re really bored, from page 364 onwards you can read every individual survey response

And here’s the updated master plan

As long as we get that Marvel-sized second oval after the completion of the Torrens to Darlington works as intended then this is fine for now.

I wonder if the protesters complained about the number of trees used to make this report. 817 pages. wtf.

We want it to be Adelaide Oval sized, theoretically you paint 2 sets of ovals if the area is big enough but I think part of stand would be in the way
Is there a ground of MCG proportions in Adelaide anywhere? Local cricket grounds? School or university grounds.
Match sims with wide wings are only needed occasionally to fine tune for fixtured games in Perth or MCG. Surely we could enter a lease arrangement for access occasionally.

P.s. I thought the new Gabba and new Tasmania stadium were going to be MCG size. Can anyone confirm this?
If so, having a bigger ground becomes increasingly important as the proportion of games on these big grounds increases.
