I personally still believe that the AFL are not making clubs do this, based on how they haven't been used some of the time, and that Essendon club management have a preference for doing so, based on their expectation of increased revenue from it.
However, if everyone has one, I guess it makes it hard to prove that.

Gee sounds like Carro just wants to bash the AFL and clash jumpers in general.
She's right in some parts though. Carlton and Hawthorn never will clash.
Love that she says "the AFL is diluting their tradition". Makes it sound like the AFL is making them change their song, their logo, their name and not ever again letting them wear their black guernsey.

Something like this would have worked better as a clash for them.. The grey in the one they've unveiled is too dark.. They should have gone for a lighter colour such as this silvery-grey.

Let's wait and see over the next two weeks what it looks like under lights (at Eithad vs St Kilda) and during the day (at AAMI vs Port), as opposed to in some dark convention room at Windy Hill. I reckon it'll be a lot better under those conditions than it appeared in the photos and video so far.

Robbo and Gerrard had no problems with it, and one of them is a real life, genuine Essendon supporter.
We can just add this to list of reasons Caro can G&GF.

Looks better in the promo pics IMO.
That will still clash with St Kilda, perhaps a little less than the original Essendon uniform.

Or even the red that look like a lighter colour there than the grey.
They grey isn't even close to black judging from that photo.
Also, this board really deserves credit for this design.

Yeah definitely. I remember the silver one you did with the bomber at the end of the sash. Still one of the best jumpers I've seen on this board btw.

I also think the guernsey needs to be lighter. IMO I think it's one of those cases where it looks better in your head than it does in reality.

Wearing it with white shorts will make it look lighter which would be better, similar to how the red on Melbourne's clash looks lighter and therefore more pink, when in reality, it is actually the same red that is used in the home
