Will check out the Essendon guernsey tonight since my cousin is playing.

Just switched over to FoxFooty WCE royal kit still the best kit in the league.
Who's your cousins Cory?

He was the sub for Essendon.
I just got home from Ted (Which, I highly reccommend)
And am currently watching the replay on Fox Footy, so any chance you could fill me in on the name? :)

Thanks to Mero, we can all see for ourselves that, except for the width of the stripes, Collingwood had the same basic look from 1923-2000. In 2001 they inverted the black/white, keeping faithful to the striping pattern.

Three vertical bars down the front of the jumper since 1923.

Collingwood has a special jumper for a clash with North. It has an entirely different striping pattern. Two vertical bars.

So, how did the Magpies get included as a club that won't bend on clash issues because of some perceived haughtiness borne out of their history? The Pies have most definitely broken with tradition to do this in order to resolve a clash.

The fact that they refuse to wear clash socks.

You are complaining about this?

Collingwood are being arseholes because they won't change their socks to avoid this "clash" of socks?

Sponsors have the final say on how their brand is presented on the jumper. You'd expect them to fix that up for next year.
Given this I'd say Toyota asked to have their logo rendered in its normal colours, not in all yellow on the back and in black & white on the front like previously.

Only just saw this but
Sydney v Brisbane last night - Red vs maroon. Red with a largely white front vs maroon with white shorts.
Seriously? That's against the "clash" rules as both teams have similar colours AND against the "more white gets white shorts" rules.

I think Sydney's home kit is deemed "light" by the AFL, and Brisbane's away/clash kits are both light. Brisbane could worn their white jumper for the first time this season, but that wouldn't have an affect against Sydney.

As a point of interest: when was the last game Brisbane wore their white jumper? Sometime last season, no doubt. They'll certainly wear it in two.weeks @ Gold Coast.
And I can't remember if the Swans have worn their clash at all since round 1 vs. Melbourne last year, but they, too, will no doubt be wearing it vs. GC three weeks from now.

I just think both teams ended up with a lot of white with a lot of "reddy" colours.
Perhaps Sydney should have worn white shorts; at least that way the white was kept to one team.
IMO it's the only clash in the league that current clash kits don't work for (apart from Richmond's excuse for a clash kit).
