It's the second year the Suns have used dark grey as their secondary training colour. I hate X Blades and they could just be lazy, but most manufacturers play with off-field stuff to add colours and ship more merch. The Suns have generally kept to their actual club colours but it's a bit strange to use a different colour for the second straight season. There were some rumours on the Gold Coast page that the red and grey Demons-like yoke with the yellow outline separating the two parts was going to be the next home jumper.
Which is probably even worse than the current strip because it's such a done design, grey is a boring colour, and it makes them basically like a sort of GWS Giants (which is fitting considering they also now look like a sort of Brisbane Lions). Plus grey and red is ugly. Who knows.

tbf I always assumed the 'rebranding' comment was referring to the fact that they just ran with the same BLK designs/templates that were already good to go for 2017, because they didn't have time to come up with and produce their own designs.
I didn't even read that.
There's less blue in the GC logo than there is in the AFL logo.
