If I had to put the house on one team for the sb it would be KC without hesitation, mahomes is the man and they improved in the off-season. Jameis Winston can a leopard change its spots, imo no I watched him at Florida and the bucs he’s a turnover machine. One very good game changes nothing the packers didn’t turn up no pressure at all and Rodgers at 38 is kidding coming off no off season.
Same, don't rate Winston either. Think he threw a record amount of INT's a couple years ago and needed lasik surgery because he couldn't see more than 30 yards or something lol. He's a bit of a bust and feels like a stop gap option for them while they plan for their next franchise QB. I think the Bucs will win the division and the Saints will either make a wildcard spot or miss the play-offs just. They did look good in Week 1 but so did Philadelphia. Not sure how much you can take from it.

Saints for me for obvious reasons. George or anyone who knows their stuff might like to let us know the expectations on New Orleans for this season. I have now idea. Any chance?
I've got them making a wildcard spot or just missing. They will be right amongst it with a handful of others going for the last two spots in the NFC. I can't see them beating the Bucs to the division title.

He has the talent, wasn't a No. 1 pick overall and had the College career he did out of luck. His interception issues were partly to do with Bruce Arians gun-slinging style of play and the sight issues he was having.

IMO, he couldn't have landed in a better spot with the right people around him to help him address the deficiencies in his game.

In response to The Jack New Orleans were a big question mark heading into this year, just because of the significant change in personnel across all lines, including QB.

I think the Round 1 result was a bit to do with how good the team may be, but also the lack of chemistry and the conflicting off season Rodgers and the Packers have.

The season is still a question mark AFAIC, need to see a body of work, but the signs are good and I have no doubt Jameis is a career QB and not a bust.

I don't think a college career necessarily matters all the time when talking about how it translates to the NFL. Johnny Manziel and Tim Tebow two good examples of that off the top of my head.

NOLA Saints fan here too. WHO DAT? Livid in Houston but loved visiting New Orleans. Went to a Saints game there and it was truly an amazing experience being part of that crowd. I wish we could get the same level of hysteria at a few Sainst games here in Melbourne. Great win against the GB Packers to kick of the NFL season too!

manziel got his first multi million pay check and checked out, was more worried about coke and snatch than footy.
Tebow couldn’t throw, not in the same class as Winston.

Winston can't throw either

I'll gladly come back and see this comment at the end of the season. He has gone through a massive transformation. I'm bullish.
In his last full season he threw 30 interceptions, an NFL record.

He may have transformed but we haven't seen it longer than 1 game so I'll hold off until he can do it regularly. At the moment he is looking like a bust but lets see if he can turn it around. He's 27 so if he can't turn it around now he probably never will.

5000 yards and 30 touchdowns is not average.
It’s elite.

ha unfortunately 30 INt is elite on the other end.

but his problem was never really accuracy it was more forcing passes that weren’t there.
It's not really elite because he led the league in attempts, his QBR was 84 (the equal worst of his career) and the Bucs missed the playoffs. He threw at 60% which was also the lowest of his career.

I'm not really invested that much in seeing him succeed or fail so if he turns it around good on him and it'll be good for you guys but so far he looks like a bust to me, if instead of 30 touchdowns / 30 interceptions he can have say 45/15 then that'd be more like it for me. You guys probably will make the playoffs but it will be close, I'm not so sure it's a certainty. Tampa will win your division and then you will be playing off for 5th and 6th along with a bunch of others.

Worrying signs.
I thought Rodgers looked uninterested.
I go for the Eagles haha but if you knew that don't listen to me. Yep he did, I think the Packers will still be good enough to make the playoffs but it's probably time for him to move on to a new team or into retirement perhaps.
