Saints for me because, Saints, and also Uncle Drew. Soft spot for Philly too because Philly is my baseball team, and I loved Vick because I admired his off field entrepreneurial spirit with the dog fighting etc

I was a huge fan of Deuce McAllister have his no.26 on a Saints jersey with Deuce on the back, ultimate fanboi shit.

We've got NBA & EPL so lets give this a crack, I know we've got a few who watch the NFL.

Favourite team? Why? How'd you get into it? Etc

I started supporting the Philadelphia Eagles in the late 90's after getting hooked on a video game called NFL QB Club, haha. I had a bit of a liking to the Packers (for Favre) and the Jaguars but ultimately stuck with the Eagles.

I was a bit of a fairweather supporter because of limited access to games and dial up being a pain in the arse to use but that changed at Superbowl 39. Back then SBS would replay games late at night and the Superbowl replay came on, we ended up losing the game to the Patriots but that grew my support further and since then have watched every game and had plenty of early morning wake ups - also it was much easier to follow this time around than it was in the 90's. After 20 years supporting them they won their first Superbowl in SB 52 - very emotional day. There's been plenty of similarities between Philadelphia and St.Kilda which I realised after the fact. We've both won one title and before the Superbowl era our last championship was 1960. It was a 58 year drought, the Saints are at 56 next year. Always had great players but could never put it together and endured lots of heartache.

Pessimistic about our chances this season, we look to be in full rebuild mode with some nice young pieces but definitely not enough to be anywhere near a playoff spot I don't think.

Think it might be a Chiefs/Bills v 49ers/Packers Superbowl, they look ready to contend again. I would say the Bucs but back-to-back championships rarely happen.

Week 1 began on Friday morning and the first week of games continue this morning. If you've been thinking about following the sport you won't be disappointed, once you get the rules and can appreciate the stop/start nature of the game you'll love it.
Im on the broncos.
Tebow time was on almost every monday morning while i was at uni and its what settled me onto a team after years of playing madden with various teams.
After tebow time had a solid few years with manning that cemented my support with a superbowl win.
Unfortunately dont get to see much these days living in the uk the west coast timezone doesnt suit. Hopefully will be ablyle to go to a game at twickenham next year though

NOLA Saints fan here too. WHO DAT? Livid in Houston but loved visiting New Orleans. Went to a Saints game there and it was truly an amazing experience being part of that crowd. I wish we could get the same level of hysteria at a few Sainst games here in Melbourne. Great win against the GB Packers to kick of the NFL season too!
Going to an NFL game is better than any AFL game you’ll ever go to. The tailgating is awesome, and the atmosphere is next level.

Good slate of games on this morning/today.

Tough to see us beating the 49ers but it's at home and we played well last week so here's hoping. Looking forward to the Chiefs & Ravens too.

Yep I think it'll be a cracker, conference games between teams in different divisions are always high intensity.

Mahomes can really run up the score, they looked rusty last week but as good sides do they got the win. I’m not as high on Jackson as most and the ravens lost some important pieces in the preseason. I’ll be watching it’s bound to be entertaining whatever happens.
Ravens are hit pretty hard with some injuries too, im really banking on the home field advantage to keep it under 2 TD's
