As mentioned above the last couple of nights i have just used hdmi between laptop and tv and has worked perfectly. Rather than stuffing around with apple tv just use that method.

I just double down on the wifi.

Admittedly it's pretty fast broadband

I think I've figured it out - I had the baby monitor plugged in a foot or so away from the AppleTV which I'm pretty sure was causing interference! I've unplugged it and so far it seems to be all good. Fingers crossed!!

The quality's not 4000kbps like it is on the laptop but it is definitely pretty close to perfect and it is a lot smoother so think it's preferable to the laptop as even the minor "jumps" when the camera pans downfield for instance give me a headache after a while.

Am pleased it is working for you now Demonic Ascent. My problem is not a baby monitor but trying to get my 7 and 9 yr olds off the damn tv so that I can hook my laptop up to it !!

Haven't watched the Carolina game yet, but loved watching the Niners game on it.

If only the AFL could put together a product this good...

Hey guys, just a question:

If I want to watch a game after work tomorrow without knowing the score beforehand, do I just need to make sure that I have "scores" marked as "off"?

Thats right, but remember, during the live telecast they'll cross around the grounds for score updates. So when you watch the replay later, you'll see all that "as it happens".

If you watch BROADCAST version. If you watch CONDENSED you'll just see all the plays and practically 0% of any scores being shown in tickertape.

I rarely notice them to be honest

i only notice when im looking at them, and half the time i miss the scores im interested in, like when i want to see a score most of the time i catch the players stats so i now use Sportscenter on my phone for scores while watching the games.

Thanks.

Yeah, I don't mind knowing the scores from other games - I just want to watch the Dallas game without knowing the score from that particular game (i.e. as if it were live).

Just make sure you set your gamepass to SCORES OFF before you log in to watch the game after it's been played ;)

Ok I have a problem. When I log in to the ap it says I need to do an update, problem is the update isn't available on the Australian app store. So I can't use the app at all, I cannot miss Von's return

Log into nfl.com from your browser and go to gamepass from there and it will update from there

At least that's what I did on my iPad this morning and it worked after I'd had the same problem as you

Just FWIW I had this issue as well, if you go directly to the app store and type in 'gamepass' and update from IN the appstore it works too.

Good to know. Less convoluted than the way I did it
