Signed up on the weekend.

With two large monitors on my work desk, it's easy to just get Game Pass working in the bottom corner of one of the screens and just sit back and relax.

Was showing it to my technologically-illiterate Dad the other night and I think I blew his mind with the whole "watch four games at once" thing.

The AFL has to explore something like this for the next rights deal, don't they?

yeah they should. If watching live you should also have redzone open on one of your screens. As its title suggests, RZ goes to games where a team is close to scoring.

they do, Like with the NFL the AFL online streaming is only available international, there is a different version of Gamepass for people inside America but all games are blacked out for 12 hours because of Direct TV Sunday Ticket.

Pretty sure the AFL has one now that you can watch any game live for about $60 a year.

So I'm hooked on GamePass already, anyone know whether you can watch it through AppleTV? The quality on my iPad was much smoother than through my laptop so I'm thinking of forking out $100 for the AppleTV if it will be the same smooth quality as on the iPad.

There is an application for Gamepass which you can download for free and log in with your NFL log in

I guess if you open the browser in PS3, and go to NFL.com, log in, then click thru to the GamePass page, then expand to full screen size, you could watch GamePass via your PS3

Pretty sure PS3 browser isn't close to being able to handle Gamepass. Does it even support flash yet?

Yeah that's what I gathered just searching the net - I'll have to test the Smart TV Browser but it's pretty stupid that NFL doesn't have an app for PS3 yet.

This is what I do and it is so good

OK I'm a bit stuck and would appreciate your help. I've got the AppleTV plugged in and going but can't find where to download the Gamepass app (or any apps for that matter)??? Anyone able to help? I borrowed the AppleTV from my brother in law to test out before buying, the NBA, MLB & NHL apps are already installed but not NFL :( Help would be appreciated.

How about streaming it from your pc or mac to the ps3.

Or hdmi

I've already got the laptop hooked up hdmi to my tv and its certainly better than watchable but isn't as smooth as on the Apple devices which is why I'm trying the AppleTV - it seems PS3 and probably Smart TV apps are no go for now.

Demonic Ascent you have to download the Gamepass ap on either iPad or iPhone.

Turn on your apple TV, both the phone/ipad should be connected to the same wifi.

Then fire up the ap and select which game you want. There should be an icon on the phone which is a square with a triangle at the bottom (airplay). Select that and it should bring up the option to play through apple TV

I have Game Pass and its the BOMB.Cos im in Perth WA we are 2hrs behind at the Moment but in Oct goes to 3 hrs.So with Game Pass i can watch all Dallas Cowboys games and enjoy us getting another Superbowl Championship this season.Plus can watch other games as well.

Looking at getting gamepass shortly, if I connect my laptop to my tv via a hdmi cable and sign into gamepass via nfl.com on my laptop would I be able to watch gamepass on my tv ?

Thanks for any advice.

Absolutely!

Had my first taste of RedZone this year as the Seahawks were the SNF match and man it was awesome! With so much going on this morning in all games, it was good to watch them all unfold without using the 4 screens option with my currently less than impressive internet connection.

I prefer to watch the game the next day, as the compressed version is nearly half the time of the live stream. I wish i had 4 hours during the week to sit down and watch it haha.

Unfortunately i usually know the result. But in saying that if we end up getting flogged ill watch another game

Thanks Bucketss

Just purchased it this morning and watching the game now on my desktop at work, well trying to anyways but keep getting distracted lol. Will have a closer look at it this evening but so far so good :)

This is definitely the way to go - as you can tell from my posts above I trialled the AppleTV using AirPlay from my iPad the last couple of days and quality ranged from pretty good/perfect to completely unwatchable/sound only with no vision at all. I wasn't watching the games live either and one of them I was trying to watch the condensed version of the Raiders/Jags last night. I couldn't watch it as the picture kept dropping out completely when it wasn't pixellated/blurry as all hell.

Unless anyone else has some tricks to fix the quality using the AppleTV I'd say just go with the laptop to TV with HDMI cable hookup.

It seems the Army of GamePass is growing!

Question to the subscribers...have any of you noticed sometimes a significant time discrepency between the game clock of the game your watching and the time on the scores across the screen?

I know there is always a minor lag in "live" TV, but I've been running GamePass for a few years now and never noticed the discrepancy.

I for one have never had a problem using Apple TV

Hey Blacky, do you have your AppleTV hardwired to your modem or just use via wifi? Can't figure out why it's giving me problems?? My modem, iPad and AppleTV all sit within a few metres of each other and the TV yet I'm still having quality issues to the point where the vision either drops to 400kbps or just loses vision completely. It generally starts off OK then falls away after a few minutes. Could it be having something to do with updating the AppleTV?

I'm having some problems with my laptop as well when I have it clicked on "Best Available" quality, it seems to differ between perfect and 400kbps. The internet is pretty stable, BigPond cable. I was using Mozilla but used Internet Explorer yesterday which seemed to fix it a little but not completely. I also shut down all other browser windows and programs and updated my video/graphics card drivers but haven't tested it yet since doing so. Fingers crossed it goes smoothly, it's not that I can't watch it, but I want it to be perfect dammit! :D
