Round 3 tips
Hurstbridge vs Nth Heidelberg, big game for both sides. For the bridges they need to bounce back from a disappointing loss to Banyule and the doggies still looking to open their account. Going with the Doggies to open their account by 17 points
Macleod vs Banyule. Another big game for both clubs. Again Macleod looming to open their 2023 account and Banyule trying for 2 wins in a row and move away from early relegation chat. Banyule have been impressive since being promoted and I think they will get their 2nd win. Banyule by 19 points.
West Preston vs Greensborough. Big in for the roosters with Kovacevic back in for his first game since 2019, hope he goes well. The Boro were very impressive last week and will look to carry that form into this game. Trudgeon is a very handy in, Boro to get another win. Greensborough by 16 points
Heidelberg vs Montmorency match of the day and can Monty bounce back and stop the Tiger juggernaut. Gilmore back just makes the tigers stronger, consecutive win #20 for the Tigers. Heidelberg by 20 points
Bundoora vs Whittlesea. The bulls were very impressive last week, they do lose McEvoy and Mckernan but being in McNiece and Longmire. For the Eagles, the tough draw continues, they are having some good patches but need to make those patches longer. Close for a half but class of the bulls to shine through. Bundoora by 49 points

Speaking to the players & officials last night & I was in the room he was all class.
Will play R3 & 4 at home vs Macleod.
He'd played against the two best sides in the comp in Heid and Bund so bit premature to say the writing was on the wall!

His output has diminished over the past 3-4 years no questioning that. Absolute superstar of the league for over a decade. The young kids are coming through and with boomer finished now the lure of pushing hard to play Div 1 isn’t there obviously. The last thing anyone wants to see is a great battling it out playing 2s or anything.
I can still remember him kicking 9 in a losing grand final against Epping. The 55m torpedo at 3 qtr time against the wind was simply remarkable!
He can retire knowing he was one of the greats of the league and NH. He should be content and enjoy the fruits of his labour on the sidelines with a can in hand.

Bundoora, Heidelberg and Montmorency are certainties. Good luck trying to pick those other 2 spots to play finals. I'm not sold on North Heidelberg now.

Anyone know what happened to the Whittlesea player and why the games was called off early?
The kids a star and will only get better. Good on him for having an impact in D1
