What they have off the field at the Bergs is as impressive as what they do on the field. Its a business down there and the connections to VFL clubs and players dosent happen by accident - Well played.
There are other clubs in different leagues set up just as well and the $$$ come in to clubs when the businesses involved see a significant mutual benefit to be involved.

That said, we are very happy for Jesse, the Datolli family and our junior club and if that extends to others who share the same joy - then that's ok.
One question though, you can't have a father/son via Vinny being a coach can you? Just checking as Jesse would be a 1 pointer for as at some stage

Coach can do his Port Melbourne role, travel to a few games in Sydney, roll into Heidelberg in September and collect another flag.
Should be a good battle for runners up!

I can’t believe this stupid argument about Heidelberg and VFL teams. And trying to justify it by referring to practice matches.
Heidelberg wouldn’t get near Coburg or any VFL team. It’s actually laughable for people to think that.

Id be surprised if they didn't give Northern Bullants a good run. We are talking about their best side. Didn't someone say they had 14 VFL listed players? Plus ones like Keys would could have easily player VFL.

Heidelberg giving a struggling VFL team a run for their money is far from the truth at all.
Coburgs last game they had 3 South Morang players in the team. Those 3 players would not get a game at Heidelberg, so you could argue that on its own is enough evidence that at full strength with all their listed
Players they would give Coburg, if not the Northern Bullants a run for their money.
