why would he play vfl if every post and which club rumour has alerted to money.Apparently still playing VFL
I dare say it was a publicity stunt for Trainstop app.why would he play vfl if every post and which club rumour has alerted to money.
if he wants money then like the many others he will commit to going down the year to year path and fill up without conscience.
tax free afterall and handy for anyone able to get it
money earned from playing sport is not tax free. If that money is not declared to ATO l would simply say beware if the ATO ever gets active to chase the salary ( yes salary ) cap payments of footy clubs. It has been done before in old VFA days and l know one player who lost his house due to tax payable plus interest plus penalties applied.why would he play vfl if every post and which club rumour has alerted to money.

It's classed as a hobby .money earned from playing sport is not tax free. l said beware if ATO ever gets active to chase these payments. whether payments made are for a hobby is an objective test based on the facts of each case. Think you will find players signs contacts as to the financial rewards and clearly come under the control of the Clubs when it comes to preparing for games and training. Thats a servant/agent relationship. l would hate to try and convince the ATO its a hobby. Just sayin. It's classed as a hobby .
Yes the ATO could start looking into whether or not player payments are assessable at local levels but they never do,
ATO is one of the financial watchdogs of commth govt. Delusional if you think Albo would be concerned with local footy. If there is a $ to be squeeezed from someone and a bulldog type entity in the ATO decides to take the task on then beware.ATO have given local footy a wide berth for years and will continue too.
why else are so many highly crdentialed coaches and players participating well below their skill sets.
tax free money.
once they start if they ever did to many clubs would simply shut doors.
the ATO wont want that on their plate.

Good question. Someone would knowATO is one of the financial watchdogs of commth govt. Delusional if you think Albo would be concerned with local footy. If there is a $ to be squeeezed from someone and a bulldog type entity in the ATO decides to take the task on then beware.
Sportspeople participate below their purported skillset because its easier and love to be the tall poppy or they are not as good as they think.
why would clubs shut their doors if all participate as a hobby. if players wouldnt want to pay tax on their money then its not really a hobby is it? Shutting the doors is a long bow to draw.
Do you think VFL players are hobby players ? Are they paid tax free?
At best, 4I wouldn’t be surprised if Morang win 6-7 games. But I think it depends on how Many games they can get into Dintinosante. They were a different team when he played.
When we have clubs like Wang having their flag taken off them, then I reckon afl vic need to look at things like this. He's shopped himself on the trainstop app, I'm sure trainstop get a commission of he's fee, it will be easy to find. I'd think the trainstop app is a pretty easy way to see what clubs are fudging. The deer park cash in hand is still the hardest to trace and you don't worry about the twx man.Pretty confident here Denny. Cant imagine the offer he has been given for him to choose Heidelberg. Many clubs chasing him.
It must be funny at league HQ seeing the contracts submitted "Cumberland $400" when they know they are absolute BS.
Shopping himself for sure . Told another close club if you match or better the offer I'll sign .When we have clubs like Wang having their flag taken off them, then I reckon afl vic need to look at things like this. Any player earning 4 figures a game can't claim its a hobby, they'll have a good accountant and get things like gym memberships etc written off in tax
The Mayo thrown on he knows people at the club, he lives around the corner and he choose us because we're all good blokes doesn't pass any pub test, just say we wanted a high profile recruit and we think if he hits he's straps he'll be the best player in the league, we can't believe we got him.

Only going on rumour I heard.Rumour is Mont nearly doubled South Morang offer, wouldn’t he have gone there if so?
Regardless of where he signed that club would always cop it.. Fresh out of the system was never going to be cheap.
23 year old coming straight from the big dogs, the bloke should easily be top 3-5 player in the league if not the best.
Wonder how he’ll handle the expectations that are going to be set on him by fans and oppositions.
Actually he is.Is Brent Harvey going around again?
Been a fair few 23 year olds come out of AFL and struggle with local footy. The main one is finding your own footy on smaller / tighter grounds. Hope I'm wrong for Morang sake, but feel he will fall into this category.Rumour is Mont nearly doubled South Morang offer, wouldn’t he have gone there if so?

No clubs got 6k a game stashed away in Jan for a guy. Most recruiting had been done. Most points already allocated. I still have no idea how metro clubs have more points than country clubs.Rumour is Mont nearly doubled South Morang offer, wouldn’t he have gone there if so?

No mention of any VFL alignment
VFL or afl?Actually he is.
Will play when Cooper is not playing.
Source Boomers Dad.
Bergs have recruited easily the best and were already 50 points better than everyone else. Hard to see anyone challenging them when it counts.Another handy signing at Warringal Park by the looks of things- Angus Curry from Port VFL
