Always tricky to do with a heap of good players that will miss out. Tried to base it off games played/ roles played in the team ie. not picking midfielders as forwards etc.

PROMOTION AND RELEGATION
• For season 2021 there will be promotion, but no relegation.

• The decision not to have relegation is based on the premise that the games that were cancelled due to the COVID lockdown had the ability to impact who would stay up and who would go down.

SEASON 2022 COMPETITION STRUCTURE
Division 1 – 11 teams (one team promoted from Division 2 at completion of 2021 season)

Division 2 – 10 teams (one team promoted to Division 1; one team promoted from Division 3 at competition of 2021 season

Division 3 – 7 teams (1 team promoted to Division 2 at completion of 2021 season)

Incentive is still there to win the 2021 Division 2 flag and move up to Division 1 in 2022. 11 teams in Division 1 with bottom 2 being relegated at end of 2022 season and fall back to Division 2. Flag will come from one of the Bears, Banyule, Lower Plenty or Thomastown

So the NFL clubs all supported the PROPOSAL from the NFL?
Absolute joke in my humble opinion and yet another example of the NFL Administrators inept performance

Not sure if clubs have supported this proposal, just read this on NFNL site and had heard same thing from a few different sources. I don't think it makes a big difference to Division 2, premier still goes up to Div 1, and gets the chance to compete and not finish in bottom 2 in 2022. Premier of Div 3 comes up, no one relegated from div 2, so still a 10 team competition in 2022 so a fair and equitable draw.

Not like Division 1 which will have 11 teams, to me that is crazy unless they have 20 game season.

Division 3 with only 7 teams as well, makes for a pretty crappy 2022 unless NFNL have another team coming into competition in 2022 (highly unlikely I would think)

Thought I read they had until Monday to let the league know?
Call me an idiot (I already know your view on that LOL) but the way I read it the NFL has already made a decision on the Promotion & relegation system for this season and next season and it is already in place
The SURVEY going to clubs is simply the clubs view on the final rounds and finals series for this year
I know that you are really well connected in the NFL (Cause you told me) BUT the two club presidents that i spoke with told me that the survey has nothing to do with the promotion & relegation decision ALREADY MADE BY THE NFL it is only a survey on the remaining games and finals series this year and- IF THAT IS THE CASE IT IS A BLOODY DISGRACE BY THE NFL
If that is not the case I know that you will correct me

The remaining games and final series is NOT the decision the clubs should be surveyed on it should be the promotion & relegation issue as that is the important issue in my mind

You are well connected so please advise me if my sources are incorrect

Given that we're not seeing games this week, need something to keep occupied. Is it too early for Div2 team of the year chat?

Thats the least of the leagues concerns i would have thought. Need to get the season completed.

The League will be concerned Clubs may face this issue but agree they need to do everything to get the season restarted and completed so will put the burden on Clubs to figure out how to make ends meet. Hopefully Clubs have been budgeting over the break and can get through.

I suspect there will be heaps of people 'walking dogs' around grounds if they are not allowed....same as last time.

Why is it the least of there concerns?
Clubs have already stated they wish not to play if it's no crowds again. I'd say that's a pretty big issue

And how do you propose they budget? They've had no money come in through home games or functions.

I think the common sense is to come back next week. With a combination of injuries concerns on the eve of finals and no crowds opportunity to raise revenue the extra 7 days will provide some time for clubs to prepare and plan.

It's probably been done before but I've checked out the ground dimensions at Lower and it's 131m from post to post.
Wing to wing is roughly 106m wide.

Is it the smallest senior ground in Victoria?

For comparison Cramer St is 161m from post to post and 119m wide.

Nunawading I reckon would be smaller.
Mount Evelyn tiny, Wandin tiny.
Monty must only be a few meters bigger than Lower?
