St Marys have had 18 players play 10 or more games and they have 6 players play all 14 games.

As a comparison Eltham have had 17 players play 10 or more games and have had only 2 players play all 14 games.

Diamond Creek have 17 players 10 or more games and 6 players play all 14 games.

Pretty sure that debunks St Marys have been smashed by injuries.

Round 15 of Division 2 footy

Panton Hill (8th 4-10) vs Fitzroy Stars (10th 0-14) Another chance for Panton Hill to claim another win for season 2022. They are coming off a 94 point drubbing last week where only Jesse Owens-Draper could hold his head high. He will need support from O Parks, S Parks, Conte and Duckworth this week.
For the Stars, this is one of the last opportunities for them to get a win in 2022. They do have Fitzroy Stars legend Lionel Proctor back this week, can he and Lovett-Murray produce some magic and help Riley Livingstone who has given his all for the stars this year to that elusive first win.
Panton Hill by 29 points.

Banyule (2nd 12-2) vs Eltham (1st 13-1). Banyule will be hoping for a much improved showing against Eltham this time around. They get Tim Martin back in the ruck but lose the class of Stanton. The match up of Langford and Sinclair will be a good one and does Ricky Dyson go to Eltham young gun Daniel Owen.
Is it time for Banyule to flex their muscles or does the Eltham train of youngsters keep rolling along. Going with a bit of an upset, Banyule by 14 points.

Watsonia ( 6th 6-8) vs Lower Plenty (4th 9-4-1). The saints would have been bitterly disappointed after last weeks lose to Thomastown and need to bounce back this week to have any chance of making finals. Unfortunately they run into a red hot Lower Plenty team who had a great win over Diamond Creek last week.
Mackenzie and Van Zwienan played well last week for the Saints but will need more help this week.
Turner, Wallace, Keys and D Barden all in great form for Lower Plenty and they will shut the door on Watsonia’s finals chances.
Lower Plenty by 25 points.

Diamond Creek (4th 10-4) vs St Marys (5th 8-6). An interesting game coming up at Coventry oval with both sides desperate for the 4 points. Diamond creek coming off a loss and lose Hugh Kavanagh who was their best player last week. They also lose Mennen which are two big outs. For the Burra they regain Potter and Ronalds (for his first senior game in 2022).
It was a low scoring affair last time these 2 teams played and I can see it bending much the same this time again. Toss of the coin but will go with the home team. Diamond Creek by 14 points

Epping (9th 2-12) vs Thomastown (7th 5-8-1) Another big task for the Blues taking on Thomastown. Marcon was named best last week but unfortunately is out of the Epping side this week due to suspension.
For Thomastown the talk of finals and a big win last week means they arrive full of confidence. Coulson is missing this week but with Capeci, Tang and Bear all in good form, Thomastown to win comfortably by 97 points.

Enjoy the footy

I dare say a disgruntled ex TT person rung the league and said “such and such is on this much you need to investigate ”

The league will investigate and find nothing…
Been plenty of noise around Thomastowns total player payments and third party sponsor payments for a long time. Only need to speak to the clubs who have also met with the players they have recruited over the last 2-3 years to get a gauge of the crazy numbers they have thrown around.

They would have to be the dumbest club in Australia if they are somehow caught. Its virtually impossible to catch any club doing it, unless they are keeping records or the players and sponsors are speaking up. Surely they aren't that stupid?

Players haven’t been paid for 9 weeks. Now they are talking. The Nfl is throwing the book at Thomastown. And rightly so, as far as I’m concerned.

I think you will find that Koutabears follows the Mob from Heidelberg Park, the team that lost their 2 best players to TT.
well there you go. The bitterness is shared by many on this forum then. Hope we all enjoy our Saturdays even those with no team to go follow anymore 😁

Can’t imagine previous coach, getting his money out of them, also. Will be interesting, how this unfolds.
You obviously have a connection to Mario…

Slinging as much mud as possible at Thomastown. Do you ever think, Why does it never work out for him? Maybe it’s not everyone else’s fault..

Absolutely spot on. She must have a sore arm from all the mud throwing

Yep Eltham too good today and the scoreboard probably flattered the bears with 2
Yep Eltham too good today and the scoreboard probably flattered the bears with 2 goals in the last 2 minutes - I reckon both clubs have kept their powder dry though and the first final will look very different when players return for both clubs
Well done to Eltham as minor premiers

It was a cracking contest at Banyule today. Definitely lived up to the 1v2 battle. Banyule looked threatening at times but Eltham looked tougher when it mattered. Both sides missing a few with injury but geez Eltham bat deep.

For Eltham to all but lock away the minor premiership is a credit to them. A lot of people rode them off after losing Macaffer, Keys and Currie. If anything, it has forced them to turn to some young guns. Looks like they have a great mix of young guns and experienced guys.

You can see why Hyde is considered to be one of the best coaches in local footy. Season is far from over but they must be happy at Panther Place at the moment.
