He'd be great at taking the weights sessions, blokes a tank!seemed like an odd fit at Eltham anyway - not sure what he would have offered
I spoke to a Eltham supporter and sort of expressed the same thing. Their comment was that the Football Club doesn’t necessarily get the $ support that most think and that the Wildcats Basketball gets more community based sponsorship. Not sure how true but that’s what was said.Really? The salary cap is 88k for Pete’s sake.
I find it hard believe that. Would do double that in sponsorship surely.
What would a normal supporter know about the clubs finances. He is probably as he says doesn’t necessarily give the $ support that most thinkI spoke to a Eltham supporter and sort of expressed the same thing. Well I’d assume he chats with those that do. No big secrets in local footy! What would a normal supporter know about the clubs finances. He is probably as he says doesn’t necessarily give the $ support that most think
Denny is spot on as usual. If anyone knows Eltham it's him.Doozie. I love BigFooty rumour file. This one is a ripper. Not that you will believe little old me but this is 100% dribble. Club could not be in a stronger position fiscally.
Man, we really need footy to start.
Yeah never been wrongDenny is spot on as usual. If anyone knows Eltham it's him.
And Deslandes as well.Flynn confirmed on Lower socials
They both lost somehow.Any update of the Epping vs Mernda game?
2.4 for epping on their home deck to the side that finish 3rd bottom in the bottom division. They both lost somehow.
Sounds to me like sour grapes from an ex committee member that nobody voted for. But tap beer an siren good start.Over heard a lot not happy at Morang with the Grey Haired dictator Chairperson, apparently ruffling feathers as he did last season, prior to taking his bat and ball and resigning.
Word on the street is, that with Tap Beer and a new siren, performance will go through the roof.
OopsSounds to me like sour grapes from an ex committee member that nobody voted for. But tap beer a siren good start.
Looks like a great pick up 11 games for 22 goals last season for deer parkNice pick up by Thomastown, Nicolas Aleksovski from Deer Park FC has lodged a clearance. Crafty forward who plays a lot like Bailey Fritsch from Melbourne. Will feature in plays of the week that's a guarantee. All the very best, Nico.
SWOOPINGTIME
He would've played every game, but due to injury, he was limited to the 11. Great Kid, who has come back to the NFNL, had spent time at Mernda before testing himself at a higher level. Definitely will make an impact at Thomastown. Kicked 17 from 8 games in 2021.Looks like a great pick up 11 games for 22 goals last season for deer park
never been commitee, why sponsors changing? had a look Saturday. Sponsors signs look great, roast beef rolls walking out the door and siren awesome. hopefully the footy dint interrupt the beers and racesSounds to me like sour grapes from an ex committee member that nobody voted for. Bloody annoying timing with the works on the Hursty line. Would have been nice to start at Eltham then catch the train to watch the 2nd half of the Macleod game. What a fantastic way to kick off the season with Eltham vs Panton Hill. Should be a big crowd
This game holds a lot of interest with PH potentially being a challenger they’d want a good showing to launch their season off.
Both sides I’d imagine will have some selection headaches.
You might have to Uber to the Epping Thomastown blockbusterBloody annoying timing with the works on the Hursty line. Would have been nice to start at Eltham then catch the train to watch the 2nd half of the Macleod game.
No way you can discount Thomastown.Season predictions?
Here’s mine lads
Ladder
1. Diamond Creek
2. Eltham
3. Northcote Park
4. Thomastown
5. Watsonia
6. Panton Hill
7. Lower Plenty
8. St Marys
9. South Morang
10. Epping
Think the top 3 are the only realistic contenders and really can’t see anyone else knocking them off come finals time. My pick is Eltham to finally go back up. Think they get it done this year.
4-5-6-7 possible 8th with St Marys can all be changed around with eachother. Who knows how good Lower will be , same goes with Panton with there pickups. Could work great, Could have the opposite effect. Will be interesting to watch early on.
St marys i think will drop to 8th but like i said could sneak a finals place , didn’t pickup much. Watsonia get more experience with there young list and could shock a few with a few of those Montmorency signings and others, who knows.
Thomastown should be that 4th team but as we saw last year a bit of a drop off early in the season they wouldn’t want to slip again this year with the depth of the other teams around them now stronger.
South Morang might snag a few wins against that bunch above them, but i think coming up from a lower division staying in division 2 will be a success for them as I don’t see them losing to Epping in the two times they play off.
Epping will not win a game and will be lucky to come within 50 points of a team all year.
Should be a great season lads looking forward to it, will be one of the more competitive ones over the last few years as there’s no real standout favourite and could be a lot of upsets each week.

They're their own worst enemy. From what I watched last year, their best can match anyone, but when the chips are down they're very quick to start finger pointing and in fightingNo way you can discount Thomastown.
Some decent recruits, Miki will return and most importantly not having Mario as coach. They could easily challenge.
