Having seen first hand what Ivanhoe were capable of in 2022, and with those players back (and the introduction of a few premiership Tigers), I can see them being higher than what’s predicted here.

You have been misinformed Mappa - at least 11 of that Premiership team who did not play last year will NOT return. In season 2024. Maybe 3 come back? Only one Tiger.

But it was a lovely deflection from the audacious bid to get a few 'premiership' tigers yourself

If you had to do a ladder predictor right now, how does it look??

I'm going out on a limb (also very VAFA bias) and back in both Parade and Ivanhoe to set the comp alight and be favs for the flag.

Jeez need to simmer a bit on your predictions. Banyule came across from Premier C and took a couple seasons to find their feet, Old Eltham came from a lower division and are still not dominating. I can see OP and Ivanhoe making finals (now it's top 5), but Mernda or Old Eltham would be the early flag predictions for mine.

Morrison doesn’t injure his knee in the dying stages well I’d say Laurimar are still in D3.

As others have said, shapes as a super competitive division - hard to go past Mernda as the early favourites, but could argue 7 or 8 teams in contention for top 5 spots.

So hard to do a ladder now. When we have no idea if any of these rumours are true on some clubs, who's coming and going. Wont really know until the new year.

But agree, Mernda should be the front runner for now.

Any news on Ryan downes signing at mernda? I know he was in talks with Heidelberg but I believe the demons could be the front runners. I do believe he has given up his vfl duties to be local full time.

Haven’t heard anything in regards to Ryan Downes but seems to be Mernda are putting in serious work this off season. Will they have enough dough to sign a vfl level player? Would be a great get as he will possibly be the only player in div 3 to get near macaffer

Hit the nail on their head there mate! From what I’ve seen his defiantly got the speed and talent to match it with guys like macaffer. Hopefully can get the deal over the line so we can see many epic battles down in Heidelberg golf club division 3!
