As I've posted elsewhere on this topic - Naitanui has played all 22 games for the Eagles in 2010 (a lot of AFL listed big men his age are struggling to get just one game), has improved his averages in every statistical category bar tackles (just a drop of 0.5 per game, but still averaged 3.4 per game, which is good for a ruckman, particularly of his age), and established a Champion Data Player Ranking score average 14 points higher than in his first season (one of the biggest improvers in the league in that particular stat), showing that his overall statistical impact is much greater. Obviously statistics aren't everything, but there's nothing there to say he hasn't improved on his first season. He might not have been dominant or pulling highlight reel moments out every week (if he was, he'd probably be incorrectly labelled "all flash" a la Dale Thomas once upon a time), but what do people realistically expect from a second-year ruckman?

Also, just out of interest...

Keplar > Nicnat and Cox :D

Got my number

Seriously, who are you?

someone who remembers the pathetic arguments you have made over the years in favour of your fanboi #1 pinup on your bedroom wall - that has you again slagging off Darren Glass, who just happens to play the same position as your bestest mostest favourite ZOMG idol Matthew Scarlett.

do you deny you got caught once trying to pass off dodgy statistics that you later defended by claiming that you watched every game and every full back, and these were your own special stats you only you had. something you keep failing to deny doing, which is good because its still here.

maybe instead of playing dumb, you can share why you think Glass wasn't even the best defender at WCE last year, when he won the B&F - as judged by the WCE coaching panel? Something which no doubts relates to your previously self declared expertise on all things fullback.

when someone makes as big of an arse of themselves on a single subject over, and over, and over again they get remembered. ;)

Lol. I Likes this:thumbsu:

He shoots, he scores. :thumbsu:

Kepler really should be back up ruck in the AA team, based on those stats.
Thing is though Kepler isn't brought in as just a backup ruck.

Not a knock on him at all, but his ability to and the fact he also primarily fills other roles is where he gets the statistical boost from (Kep merely pinch hits in the ruck on occasion).

Kepler the utility? Unfortunately there are other far better players who do the stop gap thing, or just plain better players in different individual positions and he certainly hasn't played enough games

The only statistics I ever provided in my arguments were those supplied by Champion Data in the AFL Prospectus. So... yeah. Not that they really matter anymore, those debates have been well and truely won by me.

And Glass was carrying an injury most of the 2009 season, and struggled physically to match the opposition's key forwards so actually got relased alot and younger players like Wilkes, Schoefield, Spangher took his role.

Anyway. Glass and Rutten are pretty much unknown now, so, it's been nice talking to you.

You just failed your argument spectacularly right there and proved you didn't watch much if any of Glass or the Eagles in 09

09 Game tallies:
Schofield 3 games
Wilkes 3 Games
Spangher 11 games, was beaten in one-on-one contests by Paul Chapman and Mitch Morton last year as well so I shudder to think if he was given a proper full-back role like the ones Glass actually played for us last year

Didn't fail at all.

When they played, they were given jobs quite regularly.

Not that it matters, because most, if not all Eagles fans will admit, other than just disagreeing with me for the sake of it, that Glass struggled through much of last season.

Was merely a shadow of his 2006/07 form.

Why are you even wasting your breathe arguing for Darren Glass? He has been utterly awful the past 3 seasons, and everything I once said about him being overrated and only good playing in a good side has been well and truely proven. He is possibly the worst captaincy selection of all time and isn't worth the jock sweat of Scarlett and Lake as a defender.

He was good in 2009. Not up to his 2007 form, but to say he struggled clearly demonstrates that you didn't watch much of him play.

Seriously dude, quit making up shit to have another thinly veiled swiped at Glass because the more lies your spinning only make you look like more of an idiot. I would say quit while your ahead, but after claiming Schofield, Wilkes and Spangher got given the oppositions key players ahead of Glass blew away whatever shreds of respect you had left.

HA

You don't even realise.

My arguments about Darren Glass all these years have been proven. How can you say what I've said is thinly veiled? I told everyone he was a pretender who would fall away when his team did, because he wasn't good enough to hack it in a crap side and, hey presto. ;) Looks like LLH was correct. Hate to say I told you so. He's crap. His career is done. I don't need to say anything else. Fair to say it's Darren who's blown away his last shreds of respect with his performance (as captain ) the past 3 seasons.

Quite possibly the biggest load of bullshit I've read.
