I havent created a mii yet so I couldnt say, but it could easily be an update patch. I never had a wiu so i couldnt say whether that did or not, but it wouldnt seem like something nintendo would care too much about from how theyve done things in the past.
The Wii U did not either.

I'd consider it another pretty big omission (have Nintendo said anything on it at all?). Achievement hunters are a pretty big community and they can also extend the life of games.

if they were to implement it youd assume they would wait for a few more games that have some sort of relevant achievements to score. i'd say theyve never done it so they wouldnt start now. That sort of play is generally a lot more serious than what nintendo usually markets to, which is your more arcade/casual type of gamers.

I was asked to bring it by another couple who wanted to play it with my girlfriend and me. I didn't just rock up to a party like "hey guys, look what I got."

Nintendo have never even mentioned them so I don't think they'll ever be on a Nintendo console although some games have had an in game achievement lists of sorts.

I agree it would good if it did because personally I like them as well but there are a lot of people who don't for various reasons.

None of these flaws affect game play and as such are non issues that shouldn't be discussed.

Am I doing it right?
I don't know. Is that how we do things around here or do we wear pants like adults? People come in here to talk about the console and its issues I assume. Not call people names and go on ego trips and sarcasm rolls.

Your first post is looking more hypocritical by the page by the way. How's that handling criticism gig?

Say what? Was that post seriously not dripping in enough sarcasm for you to get?

It's the exact line of thinking as my first post... :D

You realise it was others that started calling MB names first right? So it would appear that's exactly how we do things in this thread :p

They'll probably tie in game stuff in with mynintendo missions.

Personally speaking i cant stand trophies/achievements anymore. It's a cheap way to add replayability and feel more like a chore than something you'd do because it's actually fun.

I'd prefer if games offered in game rewards for 100% completion. Like the good old days of unlockable levels. Killing x amount of enemies and having to replay chapters over and over again just to get that 1 trophy isn't my idea of fun.

I started this gen aiming for the platinum which then dropped down to just doing everything besides the harder difficulties to now being "ok so ive finished the game any quick trophies i can pick up before i move on"

Not gonna hate on people that enjoy the grind though. Nintendo implementing them or not isn't really an issue for me personally.

There's no reason not to have them though, I don't go out grinding them but there is a satisfaction when you see that trophy pop up, if you don't find it fun don't do but they do add an extra element to the game. Been shown that achievements and trophies cause a release of endorphins which are ever sooo sweet.

can anyone recommend a decent headset for the switch?
dont really want to spend more then $150 but will if its worth it.

This.

I'm not into them personally but I understand a lot of people are. I got sick of them when when I came across too many silly little trophies that required you to stand in a certain spot to get it to pop and if you missed it, you had to start the game again.

Like I said, If Nintendo do intend to bring in a trophy system or if they never do I don't really care.

Good to hear some balanced reviews in here. It does seem as though some of the issues were overblown, which is a good thing.

I'm still not enthralled by the catalogue of games just yet and am still too scarred by my Wii U purchase to justify buying it for one game, but it does sound like something I'll grab down the line.
Agreed. I will eventually get one as I own every Nintendo console to date but a single game worthwhile playing at launch plus what appears to be some questionable design decisions and buggy software means I will hold out for a 2nd generation build

Jesus Christ. If I saw someone doing this to a console in person, I'd break their legs. What a waste.

I'll bet there are idiots out there giving this guy Patreon money.

Look at how many subs the guy has, if it wasn't gifted by someone it would still pay for itself and he'd be writing it off as a tax deduction. Friend of mine has a pretty popular stream and Youtube channel and he claims most of his stuff on tax.

I can understand testing durability, but when in the real world are you ever going to attack an electronic device with a knife and drills?

Yeah, fair enough. I just hate seeing stuff like this. There are people who can't get their hands on a Switch and this moron is tearing one up for no reason.

"If you f*** with something, it will break. News at 11. Watch my video."

Just dumb imo.
