Edit - after waiting half an hour I realised that the club had sent me an email (at 2.05) and the link there worked, in case anyone else tried going through the Ticketmaster binfire of a website and is also stuck.

Only one of us will be going, let me put it that way. If we watched it on tv it would be in separate rooms, as far apart as possible. You know how nice it is that AFLW crowds are so much less feral than AFLM ones? Does not really apply to me in this situation. Also, I'm anxious. Pies women have really stepped it up this season.

Ticketmaster is a pain in the ass. I needed 7 tickets together, had all the barcodes but it won’t let you do it. They need to revert back to people on phones.

Is that a Covid issue? Not making excuses for ticketmaster, their website is and always has been terrible.

I actually read that at first as "two will be going, only one of us will be returning."

Glad you've made some good preemptive plans. Our form is slightly shaky and there's no doubt the AFLW powers that be have their fingers hovering over the "Carlton and Collingwood Go Directly to the Grand Final" button.

I think so, I’ve wound up with two pairs of tickets and one set of 4. We will just regroup on the inside. I understand it’s difficult but if they can’t get it right imagine how it will be when there’s 10 x the people trying to get tickets to the men’s comp.

Unusually for me, in recent times anyway, I was actually giving work my full attention and only realised that I needed to check my emails for the ticket code when I checked this thread.
Got two tickets without much trouble by Ticketmaster standards.
Need to win to keep up with the other leading teams. Could well be a close one going off recent matches.

Yeah I feel Abba was stiff to be cut. 2 goals from three games and averaging 2 score involvements per game is handy.

I have a suspicion she may be in the bad books for trying to cheat out the back rather than contesting or leading up. I noticed this at the game against Geelong, a couple of time she was running back towards goal when her opponent propped and intercept marked a kick that fell short. You can't really pick up on those things on the TV coverage - it just looks like a poor kick from our midfielders that goes straight to the opposition. Abba was better against StKilda - I didn't notice anything like this in that game. Being that we couldn't see the Melbourne game live, I don't know for sure but I'm thinking that maybe some of those bajillion intercept marks that the Melbourne half backs took could have been because she was looking for a cheapie out the back again.

I could well be wrong about all that and don't get me wrong, I love Abba as a player. Hope to see her back very soon.

I mentioned after the game last weekend that I thought Abba had started the season slowly, so I'm not surprised to see her omitted. I'm not convinced the same workrate that she had last year is there atm. While it may be a little harsh considering her runs on the board, I think it's good that we're holding the team to high standards.

What sort of crowd is expected for Saturday night's game? 5,000 ?
I bought tickets purely due to the venue being Marvel Stadium (easy to get to, guaranteed seat, good facilities)
Should be a good game and great to attend live sport again after a 12 month break.
