There was a point yesterday when I thought this game could have similarities to that year that didn't happen. Sure enough...

But that catch..............Sounds like Head was fantastic but the lion's share of credit has to go to the bowlers. Shut the crowd up and set a very very gettable target for a great batting line-up.
If good commentary was directly related to the width of your clavicles he'd be the next Richie Benaud. One thing about Matty Hayden, he looks so smooth in that pink Akubra
We lost two games compared to India’s one so no doubt they won the moral World Cup as well.Joe Root - "Man for man I'd have this team every day over the Australians"
Remember that s**t....hope he's reminded of it for the rest of his playing career.
Um nah. They have all the humility and self awareness of a Carlton supporter.
Stunned by this result. The look on the faces in the crowd when Kohli chopped one back.. Like a funeral.
Beautiful stuff.
Yeah I reckon Kohli makes India look like complete tools, but the rest of the team don't seem to have their own heads firmly shoved up themselves. Kohli struts around glaring at opposition like he's the king of the world. Greta player, bloody ordinary bloke IMOThe heading for the exits as soon as the loss became inevitable was very Carlton-like.
Staggeringly good performance from Australia. Surely the Cummins-haters have lost all ammunition against him. Travis Head has to be the first batter picked in all formats - no more he can't play spin, can't play away. MOTM is the WTC Final, ODI Cup Final and the First Test of the last two Ashes series (and the first Saffer Test last summer). The Bus Change thankfully showed that there is still a place for proper batting in this format.
As for India...stuff 'em. Their Test series win here a couple of years ago was fabulous, but like Carlton they come across like graceless, self-entitled campaigners who have won SFA tournaments recently.
I think Kohli has always given the opposition their dues. He's a competitor but always seemed to respect the Australian warrior spirit and seek to match it than resort to a victim whining mentality.Yeah I reckon Kohli makes India look like complete tools, but the rest of the team don't seem to have their own heads firmly shoved up themselves. Normally it isn't a massive headache you'd wake up with...
Night shift last night, stayed up all night watching then right as Head is about to make his ton…BAM! Building fire in Docklands, don’t get back to station until 5:00am![]()

Because he's brash people assume he's a bad sport.
Joe can sit back and celebrate his team winning...Joe Root - "Man for man I'd have this team every day over the Australians"
The poor friggin' lost youth, whoever that is!!For some reason this made me laugh out loud:
...David Warner in particular diving and hurtling after balls in these games like he was chasing a lost youth.
I think he gets on well with at least some of the Aussies, Maxwell for instance. Virat has earned the right to be cocky. He is a ham actor on his TV ads but he is one of the best batters ever and there's no need for him to hide from that.I think Kohli has always given the opposition their dues. He's a competitor but always seemed to respect the Australian warrior spirit and seek to match it than resort to a victim whining mentality.

The T20 World cupThe world championship of test cricketThe ashesThe ODI World cup
Nah, just give the moisture it's dew.Brilliant.
We also got an unfair leg up from condensation which the BCCA has escalated for investigation.
OhHis team did win the last T20 World Cup.
Oh
I have said it before, I never let facts get in the way of anything I post here.
not surprised, they spent so long getting it orgainsed I went to bed as well. I think they had a whole bunch of stuffed planned for when India won and then had to quickly change the confetti colours etc etc.I was listening on the wireless at the end. Is it true Kohl took his team off the field and snubbed the trophy presentation?
The worst of all time is that boring Ian Smith, former NZ keeper.Only a bit cringe?
It's a big field but Haydon would be up there as the worst commentator that has ever been and that includes Michael Clarke.
Australian twitter was united in It's disdain for him last night.
