Huge difference between the two.

Warner was 24 when he made his test debut, and despite having only ten or so FC matches, he'd made 3 centuries, including a 200 in and Australia A tour of Zimbabwe.

Matt Short is a 28 year old with 4 centuries in 50 games, and a FC average of 34.

Like him in white ball cricket, but not for tests.

Same boat SoS, although we got the power on in 1958. I remember in the early days of television when Tests were on, quite a few electrical goods shops would have a TV on that you could watch through their window and everyone walking by would stop for a bit and watch the play.

In another 30 years time I will be telling BF about how people used to go into Harvey Norman’s and get their pics done and then watch the Test cricket on TVs whilst they waited

Played against a West Indian import today whose father Courtney Browne played 20 Tests and was part of a winning Champions Trophy for the Windies.

Had them 6/60 chasing 184 and he came in a smacked 100 not out off 77 balls, with 7 massive 6's including a couple of my bowling. To be fair, I'm the same age as his old man. Absolute gun.
