Would've made us a bloody strong club if he'd been brought straight in as an admin under a settled coaching staff, even mentioned he'd have been interested in the role under different circumstances.

Just for a moment, forget results, supposed relationships, gameplan, selection integrity, etc, but the way Noble handled himself in a very difficult period, an exit period, was all class

It would be difficult for he to stay on within the club in a different role, but these are the type of people that make clubs great

I don't really want to know that. If we get a strong effective coach in then they'll either put up or be let go.

It certainly troubles me that player/staff discontent was a factor. And I suspect it will trouble fuyure coaching prospects. They will wanyt to know exactly what has gone on, otherwise some may say "Thanks but no thanks."

In these circumstances, it surely has to be a tough, experienced, perhaps premiership coach, who gets the gig. It surely cannot be someone in a current Assistant Coach role, who has never been an AFL Senior Coach.

If it is then he/she must have someone in place in a Director of Coaching role. Someone like Balme, or Sheedy or Williams.

The presser was held in the upstairs space. Multiple players attended the presser to show Noble their support.
