Somebody needs to tell Hamish that his job is that of a play by play caller of the game. He's not there to play the role of somebody running pub football trivia competitions.

The amount of useless trivia that he shits out during any piece of play never ceases to annoy and take me out of a game.

Seriously. Who gives a fu** if a players dad played a handful of reserves games or who said player supported as a sprog.
Did you know Joe Daniher has farted in the first quarter of his last 15 appearances?

Maybe they should move Wimbledon to Sunderland so people in the North of England can get their tennis needs met.

Personally, my dream is to watch a NASA rocket launch at Cape Canaveral. I’m going to get a petition started to see if they will shift the whole affair to Central West carpark because that’s more convenient for me.
Are we discussing the VFL, or the AFL? I'm a little confused now

I didn’t mind because Andrews is a flog but silly rule.

Also de Goey is pricing himself out of Collingwood’s reach at the moment, very good footballer.

So did Jack Darling get vaxxed?

I wasn't watching a lot of footy for most of Cometti's career. Who is the better caller out of Anthony Hudson and prime Cometti?
Cometti for the comic relief. His 'isms' made him a unique caller. Huddo is good for accuracy and excitement in his call, one of the best currently.

Cometti did go on a few years too many though, had lost his touch for quite a while before retiring.

Huddo is great for accuracy and excitement but what I love most about him is his wit. He's so fast. I remember in a Gold Coast game when Jack Bowes danced out of a tackle and Huddo calls out "Twinkle-toes Bowes!" He does it several times in every match and a lot of it goes unappreciated.

Anyone watching Stk v Suns and if so what did you think of the push by King

Should have been a free against. It’s funny though for key forwards, they get scragged & held all the time but pretty rare for frees unless you’re protected (Hawkins, Kennedy) or a flopper (Brown, Riewoldt)

Watching this StKilda/GC game we would have to conclude the push in the back rule is now very kindly interpreted in favour of forwards. What used to be punished under this rule is no longer punished and the key forward seems to be allowed to get away with a lot more now.
And please don't give me the excuse that it is all about the forward holding his ground. A push is a push, no matter whether it's a nudge, an extended one arm push or any other action where a forward pushes the backman forward so that he marks almost uncontested.
Perhaps I am old school but I like to see a fair contest, not one where one player is unable to compete fairly.

“Oh but everybody flocks to see key forwards kick big scores!”

… say the commentators who used to be KPFs. 😡
