Elliott and Sheedy said much the same about our Club in the past. North won 2 premierships in the 70s and 2 more in the 90s. It's had it tough since, that's not to say tthat can't repeat.

You have to respect Geelong, very few high draft picks for decades now and likely another top 4 finish. That’s about 13 top 4 finish since 2007. By not bottoming out of course it is difficult to win premierships but they did win 3. They give their supporters great value. I expected them to fall of the cliff every year but they do not. I think they need to for another flag but at least they are consistent year in year out. They also had the guts to make a call on a 2 time premiership coach when they realised his time was up for multiple reasons. No sentiment there and that is what a successful club do.

They rookied a 19 year old who did not sh*t his pants when he had a more difficult snap than Bevo’s great story nearly 27 yr old rookie. I cannot stand Scott but he get consistency from his players.

We have made the top 4 3 times in the same period and cannot string 2 good years together in a row with as talented list. It is so frustrating.

I do not think anyone on this forum understands why we had no interest in Tarrant. Like the multiple ruckman available who we had no interest in. Who has the biggest say on chasing established players at the club, Bevo or Power. I think it has to be Bevo. Power seems to switched on not to address the issues that could prevent success

Geelong are a well run club now doubt about it. However, their success on the field is propped up by the huge advantage they get from playing lots of uncompetitive sides on a sausage shaped ground. A ground that their opponents play on maybe once a year and just dont understand.

They'll fall over when it counts.

Mitchell looks like a very good coach. Understandable why they moved him in so quickly.

Yup - look at their team it’s atrocious, their midfield genuinely sucks, the forwards bar Gunston & Breust are no one. How have they turned this around so quickly? Imagine what their coaching line up could do with our list
