Rachele has come in from $101 to $67 for the 5 goal bet, people jumped on 😄
geeez… you’d almost hope the lad doesnt kick 5 in his first game in front of a packed AO crowd..

the hysteria levels would be insane!.. and the levels of expectation on the kid to keep repeating it would be enormous..

at least when TT did it last year it was a million miles away down in Tassie and it was a bit more subdued..

a kid kicking five on debut at AO… wow… the stadium roof will lift off.

Let's say in the lead up to the GF, Bulldogs decided that Gardner would be dropped. They told him which was devastating. He took a few days, felt ashamed, like a loser. His dream taken away.

The Bulldogs felt like sh*t, but they had to make a call.

They gave him time. Support.

His parents, girlfriend, family were all excited to see him in a GF. Dogs knew they would be just as hurt, and had a careful plan to manage that, while still being able to focus on the big game.

Then someone dickhead leaked to Morris, who then tweeted it and followed with the lead story minutes later.

Then Gardner starts getting calls from mum & dad. "What the hell's going on, son?" Dogs are furious. They had a plan, and Morris f’ed it up. If he'd called, they'd say "yes, but give us 24 hours to deal with internally. Then you can have it". But they didn't get an opportunity.

Post-GF, Bevo rings Morris and says what happened above is pretty sh*t. Don't do it again you little turd.

Very next game. Very next opponent. Same exact ******* thing.

That makes perfect sense to me.

This is rude, disrespectful and crass but overall I dont think it is career ending. Guys often say stupid crap amongst each other privately like this.

His second audio clip is career ending imo.

They’re both career ending, but the first one is prob the worst imo.

Think about “unfortunately she’s gay”. How entitled is that?

Unfortunate - like there’s something wrong, that he’s been deprived

The second was appalling but generalised; the first was specific and personalised

He’s been knifed savagely by someone close to him, but he’s also the dickhead who not only holds terrible views he’s happy to share them openly

My major thought out of all of this...why oh why couldnt it have been Scoops McClure....

Honestly?

Because it’s not an accident that happened here. People don’t just randomly or accidentally have views that egregious that they are careless with

Tom Morris’ problem was that he openly holds views that are inimical with wider society. You just can’t assume people we disagree with hold outlier views like that

That’s the problem, just how out there this is.

And of course a decent HR prosecutor will claim that the reason for the dismissal wasn’t just the views he held, but the poor judgement in recording and circulating them. That such judgements cause a fissure in the mutual trust and confidence between him and his employer

Just heard and went back on Kayo to confirm, Ralphy on tonight's pregame detailed the Bevo/Morris spat for a few minutes, then immediately transitioned into "In a separate incident, a Fox Sports reporter has been stood down pending an investigation. A Fox Sports spokesman said the company was committed to a workplace where everyone feels safe, respected and valued."

And that was it. No naming who it was, despite the immediately preceding story also relating to him. The self preservation among the scum is horrid. Can you imagine the same courtesy being offered to Tex, Brad Crouch, Stengle, De Goey, Stephensen?

Sorry for the lateness. But new York time difference.

Anyway didn't watch the game but I wasn't surprised to see Carlton win. They've been promising a lot for a long time. Richmond, have had their run so probably a bit of changing of the guard. Cripps needs to stay fit for them, that dude carrys that team something fierce and often lacks support. Carlton could be a genuine mover this year.
