I wouldn't hand an elite player a 6 year contract let alone Darcy Moore.

But good luck to him
I would. He's elite.
Unfortunately, every player in our back half ATM would lose their spot to him if available for us.

Just imagine Darcy Moore and Jordan Butts both on long term contracts for us.

Just to keep the conversation going, have we ever had a CHB better than Darcy Moore? I could name several good ones. But better???

Been some great reading over there this week, in the Dixon thread one guys spouted "Dixon consistently gets 50 goals per season".

I thought nah, reckon he has only done it once.

Only one of their posters picked this guys up and told him he has never kicked 50 goals in a season.

The first guy then responded "don't be so pedantic he always gets close to 50."

I had a look on Footywire, this is Charlies 12th season and he has made it to the 40's just three times.

Delusion is an under statement for their supporters.
Don’t hit them with obvious irrefutable facts!

Plus a defender is low risk because even players who absolutely suck can cobble together a career down back

Yeah but Dixon consistently gets 40 goals a season.

Is Moore that good ?? He COULD be, but he's been injury riddled thus far in his career.

Been AA once in his career, that wouldn't really qualify as elite would it

Nathan Bock’s 2008 is better than any season that Moore has put together so far. Average 21.5 disposals and 7 marks per game, all Australian and best and fairest.

StonesThrow the king of the one-line drive-by.

He’s up to over 10,000 now.

Still waiting for something about football worth reading.

Just watched a Worst AFL Umpiring decision video.

Mackay's "in the back" against Hawthorn made the list.

But the worse one was when an Essendon player took out Josh Carr (Freo) as he kicked the ball and it went through for a point. They paid a free kick to Carr, then two umpires conversed and one said ask what they want to do keep the point or take the kick again and the umpire runs off and asks the Essendon player what he wanted to do, he obviously said the point and Carr absolutely blows up like what the actual **** it's my free kick why you asking him. Sooooooo bad

Anyone else think Port are a chance tonight?
They actually have a very good record against the previous year's premiers under Hinkley and Melbourne are probably due for a mini hang over.
Ken could probably get his troops up for this one.

If I was into betting it would definitely be worth some money for a line bet.

No, but I hope they do win. After all, I like the Hinkley hamster wheel.

Fun Facts with Grotto

In 2022, every "new" coach, coaching his first time for the Club has won the game.

5 teams going into the game with a new coach as underdogs won the game.

Interestingly Caracella coaching the Dons for the first time will go in as favourites against the Crows on Sunday.

I vividly remember when the China sideshow was announced and there was a stream of comments to the effect that this satisfied some kind of manifest destiny where the next logical step was for Port to take their rightful place on the world stage alongside Manchester United, the LA Lakers and New York Yankees.

It was almost perfectly done satire.

Reminds me of that South Park episode on scientology where they had to put the "this is what scientologists actually believe".

Me! I was going to post a similar thing!

There was a form guide back in the day, that the loser of the Showdown, did traditionally better the following week.

Nope. Just put $50 on Melbourne 40+

I had a look at the post Showdown trends a few years ago. At that stage Adelaide won 69% of games in the week after a showdown, while Port we’re running at 41% the week after.
