This is what underpins their entire club ethos though. I’ve touched on this before. They believe that what they believe is only believed by them.

It’s a total house of cards underpinned by nothing other than propaganda and marketing — and this was exposed the minute they entered the AFL.

Like I said, I heard of him and knew a bit about him in terms of achievements etc.

I just didnt know he kicked 1400+ goals and more than Buddy ever will, outside of SA no one would really even know who he is, thats the real shame.

Few footy fans outside WA would be able to tell you anything about Austin Robertson Jr either.

It’s a massive risk but it can occasionally pay off.

Even if Dustin Martin was to walk away now, the seven-year contract he signed in 2017 was well worth it for Richmond.

I vividly remember when the China sideshow was announced and there was a stream of comments to the effect that this satisfied some kind of manifest destiny where the next logical step was for Port to take their rightful place on the world stage alongside Manchester United, the LA Lakers and New York Yankees.

It was almost perfectly done satire.

Reminds me of that South Park episode on scientology where they had to put the "this is what scientologists actually believe".

I thought nah, reckon he has only done it once.

Only one of their posters picked this guys up and told him he has never kicked 50 goals in a season.

The first guy then responded "don't be so pedantic he always gets close to 50."

I had a look on Footywire, this is Charlies 12th season and he has made it to the 40's just three times.

Delusion is an under statement for their supporters.
